Definitely. The "Heal X for each close enemy up to Y per second" affix was a game changer for my Barb.. I accidentally salvaged it by mistake. Took me forever spending oobols on pants and getting drops till I got i back.

Finally finished the main storyline, in my defense I did A LOT of side content. There's so many dungeons to clear. The first time you clear them in your account you get an affix to create a legendary item. There's a lot of those dungeons, some of them you visit during questing, others you can just do them when you feel like it. I skipped quite a few of the ones I didn't care about the affixes for as I was just playing a Barb and a lot of them are class specific, and not even all the Barb ones I cared about. There's also new stuff to do after you finish the main story. I may spin up a new class and do a higher world tier, I was just playing on Tier 1 and you definitely hit a wall around level 50 where you are basically iterating your gear in very small steps. I mostly used the same gear and affixes from level ~40-45 to level 58. I think it was probably due to being in tier 1. New char I'm just going to start in tier 2. It looks like going tier 3 is the real switch since there's a ton of bonuses and glyphs for the paragon boards you can't get unless you play tier 3. I think I need to take a break though, I did most of the side content and it took a lot of hours to get through, a little burned out. 🙂

Definitely replace it, I've seen them ignite. It will probably just keep expanding and eventually damage it. Should probably remove it and dispose of it safely at a recycle location.
-
I forgot about that, I don't think I ever made it to level 20 during the last 2 betas. I'm pretty sure I have a level 16 barb.. i'll perhaps give it a shot sometime this weekend.
-
Started playing Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous... not bad so far.
-
I'm imagining a laptop higher wattage 4080/4090 could probably play it at 1080p or 1440p with DLSS3 frame gen.

dupe post, there was some issue with it responding to submitting it.

It's more arcade style combat than sim. Plays best with keyboard + mouse. Think something along the lines of Freelancer meets... Diablo. I'm really digging it, the first single player space action game that's been top shelf in quite some time. Still haven't sunk much time into it though.

Started Everspace 2, really liked the first one and this one doesn't disappoint either. Really good open world SP space game. Other than that sacrificing gaming time for other things..
-
Checked out the D4 beta this weekend for a couple hours. Looks just fine, I'll probably stop there and pick it back up when it's released.

The lighting seems far more realistic on the bottom one.

Oh.. I also grabbed Cemu and I was playing Zelda BoTW with it. I kind of see why everyone likes Nintendo games all over again. I haven't had a Nintendo console really since the Gamecube except for a DS I had back in like 2007... Oh wait we did have Wii.. I didn't play it hardly at all though.

I found a got a lot better performance in RDR2 using DX12 rather than Vulkan. Did a lot of back to back tests to confirm it. As for what I'm playing these days.. eh.. have no had a ton of time but I grabbed Hogwarts Legacy and it's pretty good so far but everything is just filler till Starfield.

I installed the new patch.. but I was underwhelmed and just uninstalled it. I have too many other games I haven't played yet to revisit W3. It sounded like a good idea at first but I pretty quickly was like.. nah.. I don't feel like playing this again.

DLSS3 works really well in some cases. I'm sure just like DLSS itself (which we can thank for FSR even existing) it will improve over time. DLSS2 is fantastic, DLSS had some shortcomings when they first launched it. But just like RT or any of these types of new technologies it's hard to improve it without getting into early adopter hands and having a huge audience of data to work from. Also can't just keep throwing away money in R&D without some revenue. Just the way it works with publicly traded companies. nVidia, AMD, Intel.. all of them are just there to make money.. they aren't your friends.. they aren't worth the ignorantly tribal cult fanaticism that seems to have permeated nooks and crannies of multiple aspects of society. But.. without advancing features and providing some value they leave themselves open to competitors eating their lunch. I think nVidia has made some fantastic technology strides.. but yeah.. they are there to turn that into profits and it shows based on what they are charging for the 4000 series and AMD is following right along to make profits as well. They are both priced wildly this gen. The 4080 typically using less or the same power as the 3080 for the performance gain is a fantastic feat. The price however is so out of line. The DIE IS SMALLER, which is the most expensive part. They are making A HUGE profit off each GPU. Margins are so high. But they can't keep 4090s on the shelf, so .. yeah.. people have spoken.

Definitely.. the dialog just seems like low quality YA throwaway TV series stuff, and when the gameplay (from what I can tell) doesn't blow anyone away to overlook it you have a bad combo. If they wanted to have a good female lead character they have plenty of examples.. Kassandra, Alyx, Eivor, Aloy, Femshep, Lara... I mean that's just off the top of my head I'm sure I'm forgetting some.. oh the Dishonored series... That part where she learns she can (with the cuff) do special things.. it would have hit harder if they approached that a different way.. like stunned and realizing she has a weapon to help but is still scared sh**less to go forward.. but instead it's like RAH RAH I'M A BADASS LET ME SAY SOME REALLY UNREALISTIC CHEESY THINGS OVER AND OVER... could have been so much better... I mean if that was me I'd be sh***ing myself wondering how I was going to gtfo of there...

Doom Eternal, I didn't think the expansions were that good, I was playing Ancient Gods Pt1 and stopped somewhere in it. Witcher 3 I dumped like 200 hours into it and still didn't do all the map markers..
-
First nvidia would have to implement/allow DLSS 3 on cards older than 40 series. All the coverage I've seen of DLSS 3.0 so far has basically said the benefit isn't realized fully unless you are already at 80-90+ FPS on high refresh rate monitor. DLSS 2.0 is good enough to provide a bump and in some games looks better than native.
-
IMO the base game was really good, I stopped somewhere in the middle of the expansions though, got boring at some point.
-
I thought the ads fit the game perfectly, what was so gross about them? Still can't wait for that expansion to drop..
