I'm looking at a Clevo P775TM1, with an i9-9900K, 64GB DDR4, B173ZAN 4K screen, 4TB NVMe and it's normal RTX 2060. Did anyone test RTX 4xxx GPUs in this laptop?
The need for such an old laptop against an Acer Helios 16 with 14900hx and a 4090 out of the box comes from a lack of proper display panel on the latter, a need to run Windows 7 and Mac OS X, which the Clevo can run, the newer laptops can't. Now, the only unknown is whether the Clevo can run RTX 4080s/RTX 4090s or not.
Update: The laptop is bought, as well as the 4k 1200nits MiniLed panel to come with it.
Update2: How come Clevo doesn't put MUX chips in their laptops? They're not sane in the head, these guys just disable the iGPU and run entirely on the dGPU by wiring the four lanes of eDP straight to the MXM slot.
