  1. I looked better, the problem should be those on the frame, an adapter would be needed, perhaps a sheet underneath, so you screw the card to the sheet and then the sheet to the frame (I'm going through some images, I don't have my PC with me, I might be talking nonsense)
  2. Ah, the problem is precisely the screw locations, but the problem is the screws that hold it to the frame or the heatsink? That's a big problem then.
  3. I've seen some pictures of the heatsink online. The problem should be that a RAM module that's left out would work if I added a copper foil + thermal pad where it's missing, which connects to the heatsink. Would the heat be distributed?
  4. So you're telling me that I won't be able to use these cards on a Clevo x170km because the heatsink that sits on the GPU is too different in shape? That's not good news.
  5. Yes, that's fine, but I meant more like, what's the optimal approach to follow to cool it well? Is it enough to make contact with the heatsink between the main core and the memory? Or do I need to know something else?
  6. Okay, I found the ad. The €45 shipping fee doesn't exactly excite me (I'm in Italy), but it's a modification worth making in the future. It's an excellent product. As for modifying the heatsink, if I had to change the board, how should I do it? File off the extra parts? Are there any tutorials for the various Clevos somewhere?
  7. Can the MXM slot draw almost 200W? What exactly is the auxiliary connector for? In the discussion, it seems to me that you limited the 4090 to 120W, to contain the heat? Is adapting a heatsink from a 3080 to a 4090 a complex job? On eBay I only found the cables for the screen, not the one I saw in the PDF. Can you send me the eBay link? So if I were to buy one, I should aim for X Vision for the 50/60/70 and ZRT for the 80/90. I'm not very up to date on MXM news, but do you think there will be new cards from ZRT and X Vision in the future?
  8. Do you think these cards, with or without the backlight modification, could work? Will you test them? Do you have any information on them? https://www.aetina.com/products-detail.php?i=694 https://www.aetina.com/products-list.php?t=23
  9. Great! For the eBay link, do I have to write to you privately, right? I read that these RTX 4xxx mxm models take a maximum of 150/165W, is that true? And I also read that the mxm in these laptops delivers a maximum of 120W, is that a problem? Is there or do I need a way to increase the wattage? Based on your tests, is it necessary or are they just fine?
  10. I don't have the cable, but I might need a link to purchase it. I read the discussion and your PDF. I asked if it would work on a 170km because I wanted to get the "Origin" variant soon and make sure it would work both with and without a modified BIOS. Are there any updates on your research? What exactly are you missing to complete the puzzle?
  11. Does the pin mod to use an mxm 4xxx also work on a 2021 x170km (I9 11000k 3080)? Is it plug and play or do you need a modified BIOS (dsanke)? I'm following the discussion, after successfully connecting the backlight, what's missing to make it work properly? The help of a certain developer79 would really be needed.
