Thanks 👍 I tried what you said and the temps dropped almost instantly. It's mostly hanging in the upper 50s though so I'm guessing the pad either was never installed or it's not sitting right. Last thing I wanna do is take apart this thing 😭

Does anyone know where the Intel pch chip is in this laptop? I recently replaced the thermal paste and pads with ptm and putty, but hwinfo shows it running at 82C while idle which is a bit hot from what I've read.
