I have purchased my friends X170KM with a 10900K and 3080 16GB.
It suffered random freezes, whether it be in idle or full load which then resulted in the laptop not booting up after restart (it would power up with LEDs and fans but no screen) and then it would turn its self off after a short amount of time.
After lots and lots of messing, i have found one of the RAM slots to be the issue and the laptop runs fine with RAM in the other slot in a single configuration.
Has anyone else had this issue? And is there a fix? Or is this just likely a permanent.
I have seen that the motherboard has two additional ram slots for Channel B under the keyboard, would there be any downfalls to using those two slots instead of Channel A?
