I have seen great performance in gta v as well 3080 levels. 60fps locked on ultra at 4k, I know gta V isnt the most demanding game but the framerate is too high I think it might have to do with drivers or maybe???no idea. Iv'e never had this happen usually im around where I should be a little higher with an overclock. LOD could have been tweaked in the reg file also. the video is stock for comparisons sake. its around 21-30fps mostly 23-24fps that is pretty low but its high for this card like double what it should be getting, I had to check my tvs resolution too make sure it wasnt doing some upscaling or something. I ran it at 1080p and was getting around 100 without dlss which is 50fps higher than it should be. so i checked out a new game APTR and its running similar to a 3060ti which is quite a bit faster than a non ti/ he was using performance dlss to get 33fps high settings 4k I managed 35fps at 4k quality dlss high settings. so either ive fluked out with the tweaks or who knows. I wonder whats going on heres the video im comparing to and im not overclocked this is all stock also I was overclocked when I first noticed I get 30-29spf when overclocked very close or above below video ok the sd is uploaded

ok this is cool. after replacing my Vbios im getting great framerates at 4k. sure it can't do 4k maxed but games that were getting 6fps are now in the 20s and 30s. im only scoring 9500 gpu in timespy however but with alot of tweaks done to the soft side of things the gains are huge. I'll be posting a video here showing you what im talking about. My 3060 should not be matching a 3080ti in any game at any setting, but it does. I highly recommend maddoggs tweaks, it gives a big jump in gaming performance and this visuals are stunning. its' basically just a ton of registry tweaks that are commonly known to boost responsiveness and performance and with a simple double click and restart they are in effect. link here

I'm thinking of getting 2x32gb ddr4 3200 sticks and a 4tb SSD for 500 bucks, my laptops only worth about 1000 is this a wise move, I own about 400 games and it might be nice installing all of them, but then again I can just load the ones im playing and recycle the list as I have 1000mbps internet.

DAmn. Yeah its my top game..im not really a gamer but I love playing it briefly. I think its normal to get 30fps at 4k ultra. 1080p all ultra seems right its just like 4k isnt scaled correctly probably a driver issue, but who cares it looks good.

Do any of you guys own crysis remastered? I was wondering if you could test it out at 4k, max settings no AA or DLSS For some reason im running 4k maxed no dlss and getting 24-39fps and thats not right, this card should be running it at around 2-3 fps. a slideshow. I was thinking after testing out the game at different resolutions and DLSS on and off something not right, it looks sharp and detailed and is def at 4k. I just can't explain how im getting 30fps this isn't possible. unless cryek had an update to improve performance which is why I ask. heres my settings

yeah I never thought much of HP, they never really had anything I liked or that I would buy, heard the omen was a good form factor(thinner than a clevo) and good temps. It true its average size and the temps are good compared to 90 percent of whats out there. I don't know its alright, the main thing is it doesnt crash and it doesn't have hardware issues, Iv'e been overclocking it and running max fans and it hasn't given up once. my msi gs63vr had fans go 2 times in 6 months so yeah I just avoid msi now. razer seems good but typically they have poor thermals well they used to, not sure what there like these days, haven't really been researching much as I have a laptop and it runs well.

I have finally got my performance back up after a little while I think im going to stop here and call it a day. I tried many many drvers and these seemed to work the best and without nvcleaninstall. I don't mind telemetry so long as my performance is good(nothing to spy on). 532.03 best for timespy so far out of about 20 tested drivers. overclocked to 175/420 average clocks are 1965 with good temps, but i'd imagine that would change after 30-40min of gaming. Ill just lock 60 at 4k on all my games. best score for gpu so far, cpu is undervolted and underclocked to 3.1ghz for lower gpu and cpu temps as they share heat pipes.. its not in the top 100 but thats fine, its a random silicon lottery with laptops, and after following the guide here I think its safe to say ill never be able to lock the clocks in. I tried afterburner and evgas x1 software and it doesnt want to stay consistant. it would be really nice to be in the top 10 though, maybe you guys know of a hack not sure if this is my highest ultra score but it looks good gpu wise. score is in the top 30, not bad for me. its so close where like 5 points could mean going up 5-10 places on the leader boards

@KING19 If its anything like the omen 16 it's built like a tank. I don't know each to their own. I personally have owned every brand except dell and hp is the only brand I don't have issues with. they must have great quality control because iv'e been running the fans at max for 1.5 years now and 0 problems and great temps given the right settings. not many laptops run full bore.

Iv'e been benchmarking the crap out of this laptop and could not break 9100 in timespy gpu. So I decided to take the risk and flask a 140w omen vbios, so it works scores are up my best was 9500gpu with the overclock being 175/420. it didn't hold the clocks and undervolting makes more sense, with a nice undervolt im seeing 9100gpu and 9300 overall so its a nice bump in performance and the temps are ok around 82c. All you have to do is you the -6 command while flashing. theres a tut on youtube somewhere, if I find it ill post here. so overall im impressed with this laptop when I lock games to 60fps and lower cpu to 3.1 ghz my temps never pass 65c on cpu or gpu so its able to game for long periods of time without sweating. if anyone has the 115w 3060 i'd be glad to help you flash the vbios. side note. don't blindly flash, be very careful and follow all the steps.( -6 command) heres a undervolted gpu and underclocked cpu 3.1ghz when I lock the fps at 4k/60 it never goes into the 70s either gpu nor cpu
