I don't think people buy laptops for rgb. But what's wrong with rgb? Thin and light a con? It would then be good to have a laptop the size of a freezer by the same logic.

Ironically I watched that this morning before you posted it. He basically sums it up nicely. Asus your fired. He won't be using asus for a while. I really hope these companies take off their sleeping shades. -
I'm thinking my next laptop is lenovo. How are the thermals. Curious if it thermal throttles and at what frequency the cpu tops out at. 7i seems to be one of the better choices. Although the oled zenbook 14x has me interested with its 4070, I think lenovos 4080 7i is a better purchase! Thoughts?

This is my take. They have been dishing out scumbaggery for a while, people willing step into the puddle hoping their feet don't get wet -
Talked about a lot of topics with alot of jabs. Feels like a personal blow. No way this is happening. I call bs Manhattan project was from the 1940s. Not sure about the metaphors. Explain yourself wonderful person in question

not much to say. The time is now, nevermind the future. at it's current pace we are in big trouble.

I wonder how long it will take autobots to be created and take over the world. It's really a stark idea but I think robots and ai will soon be entangled and thats when autobots with mobility take over the world. or verbal manipulation. think its funny, these autobots were not programmed to play soccer this robot is a prototype and has better mobility than me

I guess. they have frame generation it shows higher fps and has higher input lag. your probably right you usually are. I usually read what you say before reading the articles, as your guess and opinion usually has more merit. kinda funny but I like to throw it back at you too get a better response. -

nvm.delete thinking ok so people are excited for tech thats slower? im sorry man but i see something different than you. the render at 4k for the new tech is clearly faster than the 4k rendered with old tech from 1990s. like this seems crazy. why would they release and advertise tech thats slower. 4090 out this year 5090 revolutionary release next year and its 2.5x slower than the 4090. like you don't see the humor in this. -

im searching for this source, where did you read that. my internet is castrated its not showing every link. Im really interested in this tech as I have a 6gb 3060. will we all see this or just 5k series back. just found this not much else https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-uses-neural-network-for-innovative-texture-compression-method Practical Advantages and Disadvantages Indeed, images demonstrated by Nvidia clearly show that NTC is better than traditional Block Coding-based technologies. However, Nvidia admits that its method is slower than traditional methods (it took a GPU 1.15 ms to render a 4K image with NTC textures and 0.49 ms to render a 4K image with BC textures), but it provides 16x more texels albeit with stochastic filtering. Nvidia claims that NTC textures are decompressed using matrix-multiplication hardware such as tensor cores operating in a SIMD-cooperative manner, which means that the new technology does not require any special purpose hardware and can be used on virtually all modern Nvidia GPUs. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-introduces-revolutionary-neural-texture-compression-for-material-textures.html NVIDIA researchers are set to reveal further details about this groundbreaking technology at SIGGRAPH 2023 on August 6. According to their paper, neural textures can be rendered in real-time, achieving up to 16x more texel than the BC methodology. The expense of a 4K render using NTC is 1.15ms, marginally higher than the 0.49ms cost observed on the RTX 4090. 1ms extra is really small, and would not be noticeable. I game on geforce now from time to time and when the lag is under 70-50ms I don't feel it, even when jerking mouse around. also it should be noted is 16 times more efficient. so for the same image quality the burden is smaller, the added power required is only if the actual texture is 16 times more detailed(higher resolution). edit. ok maybe not true, It says 4k render is more than double the latency which i think is misleading as why say its revolutionary if for the same image quality its harder on the gpu, i think its mis-worded. TLDR: Old 0.49ms New 0.078ms(1.15/16-for same IQ) less vram needed Pain in the butt for programmers -

I remember working at weatherford. and as the main lab technician the company fired my right hand man. two weeks later he wanted to have a sobeys manager call me to hire him on as a supervisor, as a youngin I lied. I cant imagine the guy as a supervisor, he lied was lazy and I even caught him sleeping on the job and showing up hungover. terrible. will never forget that young man. I was 23 he was 21 and yeah times change. now im handicapped, and that my bros is whats bothering me. some random illness that has no cure.

old comments but they do it for money. they are not volunteers, if they were i'd see it. they are not i'd like to add nice write up and thanks. I'll check out some of the apps im all for free but I think what motivates most to steer away from google is paranoia people just get overly cautious. but yes sometimes these big companies are motivated to mine data and intrude on our daily lives I get that. but I'm sure google is a clean company care to share a link as I can't find any factual reasons to avoid google. they are not amazon, amazon uses robots and helps as little people as possible. https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbestechcouncil/2018/02/08/13-reasons-google-deserves-its-best-company-culture-award/?sh=50df50bb3482

I would take it to a repair shop so they can do multimeter readings on it to see if its the mother board -

Brother I hate to say it but it sounds like a faulty motherboard if the ram swaps and cmos reset didn't do the trick. not alot it could be the last and only thing it could be is power. -
Nvidia just announced NTC algorithm. apparently it is 10x more efficient and can save alot of bandwidth on photo realistic textures. I wonder how this will impact cards with 6-8gb vram if at all. source below https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-introduces-revolutionary-neural-texture-compression-for-material-textures.html#:~:text=NVIDIA has unveiled a cutting, textures employed in photorealistic rendering.

and this is my tweak that no one knows about. no one uses it and it can have a biggish impact on cpu performance unlike many many tweaks, this my bros is the real deal. ill tell you once and if you don't do it its your own fault that you didnt get the highest score/highest cpu performance. like this everyone including @johnksss @Papusan @Mr. Fox @Papusan @tps3443 @electrosoft and pretty much everyone. here is before the tweak 0 changes after tweak completely identical settings the tweak basically the second level data cache is set to off or dynamic, you search google to find your cpus mb of 2nd level data cache if say its 5 then thats 5x1024 you multiply it by 1024 and then in reg edit search secondleveldata cache(if its set to 0 you will get a boost) then enter the amount 5x1024 or 6x1024 or whatever yours is and you should see a boost thats my secret, and why i was always numero uno with old cpus/gpus and it still works to this day I literally just used it on my hp 320 dollar laptop and saw a 10 percent boost doing a 10 second tweak -
has anyone done a shunt mod yet? also is this the top laptop to get as im thinking of buying a legion 5 or 7i. I'm just curious what your overall impressions are? curious about the 4090 as I'd keep it for 2 generations then sell.
