    yeah. i bought a duet 5 which is a great chromebook. but had flaws so it got returned. my hp omen is gone till the 1st so i needed a quick fix. the computer is hooked up to my 4k sony tv and its perfect for web browsing music and the odd show but as for gaming it will have to be old titles and 2d

    @saturnotaku I heard you mention that a few times throughout the years, is it simply setting it to 1080p or is there a setting I need to enable disable ect. clarification please. found this does it really look better seems like a snake oil tweak but ill try it out

    I don't know if I'd switch anything to apple but hey you never know. I had a 9th gen ipad and I loved that thing because of its performance and battery life. but now I have a duet 5 and the battery life is better but yeah the performance is meh. it's almost like you can count on apple giving you a great experience no matter what you buy from them whereas windows/android/chrome is hit or miss and to get an equal or better experience you really have alot of homework and research to do

    but its clear it's a steal with free shipping. if it didn't have free shipping I wouldn't bat an eye. I hear they are including napkins for when you cry for feeling stupid buying the laptop. incredibly kind of them to include napkins

    I just saw that on my news feed, thought it was just garbage news/headline but yes it's true the game is in some serious need of optimisation as it doesn't even look good, looks like half life two with polish picture of the new president of the world I hate to say it but at the very least the face textures look better on half life 2 but I guess everything else is looking dated this side of it's water. but still it came out in 2004 its over 19 years old. now take a game from 1985 and compare it to half life 2, see my point. somethings not right

    yeah tahkns, I was thinking of upgrading to 64gb 3200 ram and getting a 2tb ssd for games. I guess thats one route. at 1080p I guess it maxes almost all games. its just i'm running it off my 4k/120 tv and need moar powa.

    @Hertzian56 are you still around? The book thread is dead if your gone buddy, no one seems to be posting theres like 4 members actively posting now sometimes it feels so quiet it's like im the only person here. I'm not spamming theres just a lack of engagement and im trying to add something to a thread to perhaps spark an open discussion. as for books the book by stephen hawking a brief history of time is too complex for me, I would think you would need to be a doctor or be studying physics at the university level

    I just missed this thread but I read a few posts, TLDR kinda and well it seems like people are attacking elon musk. why on earth, the man in front of the camera is one of the most genuine and kindest type of person, hes nicer than me and hes rich because he's astonishingly smart and an incredibly hard worker, I heard he works 14hours a day, how can you not respect that, and as for the accusations when has the media told the truth. its like asking a monkey if hes ever eaten a bannana and every time the monkey denies lol

    4k tv vs 1k tv

    I was nervous to post back here. but im back haha(nervous laugh) I have a 1080p tv beside my 4k tv in the living room and the first thing I notice is the brightness then the colors and overall image. can you tell one is 4k? yes just slightly more detailed with the odd hyper focused glance, but in general from 10 feet back no I cannot see the pixels and I think in this case the placebo effect comes into play, you know one is 4k, and you just believe blindly lol, that it is better. it really is subjective im nearly blind and have thick glasses so that could play a role. but I just can't see someone noticing a pixel from 10 feet back on a 1080p tv, like could you spot a dead pixel from that difference. we are laptop and desktop diehards and right now im on a oled 13.3in 1080p display and i can just just see the pixels so yeah 1440p or 4k would help. but on a tv that you typically watch from afar i just don't see it but thats just my opinion and everyone is welcome to share their opinions.

    ok now iv'e heard of that through ads. I think brain games can help someone out that tends to think less than the average person. it stimulates the brain and causes the person in question to think more often. kinda like trying to sleep after playing a game of chess. I really do believe geniuses are made and most people can be 130-140 in score on a iq test with proper prep. but then again if more people were scoring 130-140 the mean would go up as is the case in singapore which if im not mistaken has the worlds smartest individuals

    am I the only one who finds 22k-24k in timespy amazing for a tight package turdbook? Like really not to long ago the 3090ti was tops and it's a huge card. the advancements in tech are amazing and seem to happen everyday. what's the best bang for the buck this gen? and any good deals on a cheaper laptop with 4090 for a poor man

    the no restrictions part means it can be anything and that I dont have a specific outline for what I want. however thank you all for the recommendations. I will most likely be building a desktop
