depressing! 😞 It will all get sorted out, i'm sure of it. It's just a pain going through all the headaches and effort just to normalize. I managed to average 52fps with nvidia control panel settings maxed and crysis remastered maxed, pretty happy about that as it's my favorite game. geesh I feel so dumb compared to you guys. It's not that i'm dumb per se, it's just my memory on medication is terrible, all sedatives. kinda like playing chess with 200mg of horse tranquilizer in you. Life goes on I suppose heres a pic for you guys, it's at 1080p and maxed AA AF and settings. Also has blackfires TOD mod installed and running. -

I think its better than a few versions of windows. But yes @Papusan it's still a PIG.(yes even with the sexy lipstick lol). I'm just using eso and shutapp/ custom skin.(yes lipstick). I think it's only half as bad as they say, which doesn't say much. Only thing I hate about it is the never ending ups and downs with scores. it's like it adjusts itself to irritate end user. perfect example. 200 points below what it was just after fixing bios. and heres everything identical to the old settings but with the shine(y) and new 22h2 update.(which I didn't want) -

@Papusan Windows 11 just takes a little bit of frustration tweaking the heck out of it, and patience with performance. Things that helped in windows 10 can have a negative impact on performance, the only upside I give it is lack of crashes. I have had my laptop for over a year and experimented on it, and iv'e only had to reboot the os 1 time and it wasn't a clean start just a reset when I tweaked too many things negatively lol. bright I know (face palm). I guess that's what makes benchmarking so fun, the never ending change. -
maybe the link you posted isn't showing up on his end. You provided a source already and yes the verge is a good source

NVM. Im having issues also. sucks but it happens -
most people don't want that though. The majority are into thin and lights or somewhere in between. being esoteric is not an entitlement. if you think a big desktop should perform like a small laptop thats fair? I guess. makes no sense to me but who am I it's not that Im arguing for or against, it was just my take. a smart car with 30-40 seats seems unreasonable and so does desktop level performance in a laptop where the desktop is not castrated. we all have opinions and I fear mine is different. wrong? maybe? who knows. I disagree and I don't see how thats subjectively bad. heres another take from someone else as i'm not heard NVM. https://www.makeuseof.com/reasons-desktop-always-better-than-laptop/ Is a laptop bigger than a desktop? This type of computer is usually much bigger than a laptop. A fully working 'set' should consist of the workstation itself, a monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. It's not just me, many people agree desktops are larger than laptops! so in a sense a laptop is like a smart car compared to the SUV desktop. Suv has 5 seats(power) laptop has two(power) seats. if you want more seats(power) buy a desktop. this my friend is simple logic and iv'e mentioned IQ tests alot and this question would be one the simpler side of the cube. https://www.makeuseof.com/reasons-desktop-always-better-than-laptop/

close up it matters but yeah back 6 feet I don't think you can spot the difference

How old is your primary desktop's oldest working component?
ryan replied to Sandy Bridge's topic in Desktop Hardware
my main rig is below. i have a 3060 hooked up but the cpu bottleneck is pretty bad Harwell Dekatron This is the Harwell Dekatron, also known as the Wolverhampton Instrument for Teaching Computation or the WITCH computer. It was built in 1951, which makes it the oldest working digital computer in the world. -

depressing. On a happy note im getting 95w 3080 performance with a small overclock. 8700-8800 is the target now. no sense in getting 9k and seeing artifacts half the time. the chosen people should be in our scopes. i'd like to add, we have our first target. he goes by the name BISO BISO. i'm positive he is getting help lol, just look up what this guy gets if your curious what sponserships this guy has look no further he is on this ad -

temps were 42-43c during benchmark and laptop is cool to touch....all it took was an open window and sub arctic temps outside here is the CL score bro I guess I do tend to complain alot. This laptop runs fairly cool but when it comes to pushing it hard, I get abnormally hot temperatures, even with slight overclocks. I'd say its a great turdbook if you don't mind stock clocks. here is my CPU (11800h) set to 5.0ghz it tops out at 4.6ghz though. And for once I'm above normal here is the reference: https://browser.geekbench.com/processors/intel-core-i7-11800h Here is overclocked CL score. not much higher but hey can't complain (or can I lol). Also Fun fact. I'm related to Abraham Lincoln no joke My dads new wife is related to albert einstein. I mention that because alot of you guys are from the states and I suppose thats the only common denominator in terms of famous people in the states to reference older posts. heres good news the omen 16 with 11800h is faster than the i7 12700h version This is my new top score due to thermal contraints. It's depressing but hey it is what it is. Will be getting Liquid Metal thermal paste soon. -

woah was not expecting this attention. desktop big! laptop small! so laptop must be less powerfull right! so i thought lol...love nbrs nbt also I'd like to add... Here at NBT I feel like im the only one excited about 4090 mobiles performance...I'm personally content for 3090ti and up performance in a portable unit.

its not the same size! It is not the same SIZE? so there is a model of the same size with 5 seats>? post a link to the mobile 4090 with the same seats as the desktop 4090. ridiculus and I just couldn't resist. its a joke if you think a huge 1 foot desktop card should perform like a 2 inch laptop card. and its funny that it happened in the past but desktop users got the shaft.
