  1. MSI Nahimic APO4 4.12.5.0 driver w/ A-volute MSI Extension 1.5.65.0 driver available on the MSI site
  2. Device Driver & Utility downloads for MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth have been released as of February 12
  3. a "stupid" click bait article from Neowin (and you "fell" for it, Papusan) THIS Windows Latest article will "dispute" that: No, Microsoft is NOT dropping Windows 11 support for Intel 8th, 9th, and 10th Gen chips
  4. new Realtek audio drivers from MSI - versions 6.0.9771.1 and 6.0.9785.1 (both released late January 2025)
  5. a dedicated page for MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth was posted on the MSI global web site either Jan. 23 or Jan. 24 only Quick Guide, User Manuals and "Mouse Drivers" are available for this new model; no other driver downloads are released yet on its support page (maybe until next month)
  6. From Neowin - Patchy Tuesday: Users need slower software development cycles to avoid frustration and bugs Microsoft now says not to manually install Windows 11 24H2/Server 2025 MSU updates also mentioned in BleepingComputer https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/windows-11-installation-media-bug-causes-security-update-failures/ this one is not an issue for those who obtained updated Windows 24H2 11 ISOs with the December 2024 (KB5048667) or newer update included (at least MVS & VLSC users can get these)
  7. https://github.com/kkkgo/LTSB-Add-MicrosoftStore only old versions of Microsoft Store can be installed onto LTSB 2016. newer versions of MS Store require LTSC 2019 or 2021, or even Win11 LTSC 2024
  8. link to the Realtek HD Audio UAD/DCH MSI driver once again remains the same but new version (from 6.0.9757.1 to 6.0.9768.1) - released Christmas 2024
  9. this is a 7th gen Intel based MSI laptop. if you're not using the modded drivers here, you need to install the 6.0.8967.1 HDA FF03 legacy (non-UAD) audio driver with Nahimic 2.5.36 software.
  10. the link to that driver package that was once 6.0.9738.1 has recently been updated to version 6.0.9757.1 a few days ago in late November 2024. once again, same download link but NEW version
  11. recent server 2012 r2 based updates from Oct. 2024 (like KB5044343) & Nov. 2024 (like KB5046682) can be installed onto 64bit/x64 Windows 8.1. but R.I.P. 32bit Win8.1 - KB5028223 & KB5028228 are the very last updates for Windows 8.1 on 32bit/x86, which are from July 2023
  12. I too don't have to pay M$ at all if running recent LTSC editions of Win10 currently running Win10 IoT LTSC 2021 21H2 which get updates until Jan. 2032
  13. nahimic 3.x support was removed for your laptop model in newer audio driver & nahimic apo driver versions because it either didn't have "proper" support or the support was spotty/buggy/incomplete. only solidus1983's existing modded Realtek/Nahimic DCH driver versions may provide them but they are not guaranteed to work for the GT83VR 7RF laptop. ===== new Realtek audio driver from MSI - version 6.0.9744.1 (released Nov. 13)
  14. Win11 LTSC 2024 (both non-iot & IOT) is available thru MVS (MS visual studio subscriptions) likely late afternoon Oct. 1st examples of the US English Win11 LTSC 2024 ISO downloads from MVS: en-us_windows_11_enterprise_ltsc_2024_x64_dvd_965cfb00.iso en-us_windows_11_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2024_x64_dvd_f6b14814.iso
  15. Windows 11 2024 Update (aka. version 24H2) officially released October 1 https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2024/10/01/how-to-get-new-experiences-for-windows-11/
  16. and once again time for a new modded audio driver update for autumn 2024 because that link to Realtek audio driver package that was once version 6.0.9718.1 was unexpectedly updated to version 6.0.9738.1 around the end of September 2024 (I too had a busy schedule at that time, so I wasn't around to make an announcement of it); same download link but NEW version alternate download links to the 6.0.9738.1 MSI driver: {6.0.9738.1 MSI - NB/laptop edition - direct from the MSI web site released early Nov. 2024} {6.0.9738.1 MSI - MB/desktop board edition - Corsair web site for certain Corsair PCs using recent MSI Z890 boards} edit 11/16 - added additional download links to the 6.0.9738.1 MSI driver from the MSI & Corsair web sites
  17. since there is no definite timetable as to whether or not the creator of the modded Realtek Nahimic drivers will make new versions because of the OP's current work & study schedules (yup that person is very busy, atm), you'll probably be waiting a very long time before new versions come out. I too also don't know as to when new versions of the OP's modded drivers will be released. ======= time for a new modded audio driver update for autumn 2024. because MSI has released versions 6.0.9724.1 and 6.0.9735.1 this September 2024. along with official MSI Nahimic APO4 4.11.6.0 driver w/ A-volute Extension 1.5.51.0 driver from the MSI web site released early September 2024. edit 11/16 - removed link to the 6.0.9735.1 audio driver as it is no longer available from MSI LiveUpdate
  18. BleepingComputer - Zero-click Windows TCP/IP RCE impacts all systems with IPv6 enabled, patch now
  19. BleepingComputer - Zero-click Windows TCP/IP RCE impacts all systems with IPv6 enabled, patch now
  20. and again time for a new modded audio driver update for late August 2024. why? because MSI released a brand new Realtek audio driver on their main web site almost a few days ago version 6.0.9718.1 {new link to 6.0.9718.1 MSI driver posted on the Corsair web site, in which some Corsair brand PCs use MSI motherboards} MSI has been releasing multiple Realtek Audio driver versions this August like 6.0.9709.1, 6.0.9718.1 and some older versions like 6.0.9661.1 and 6.0.9675.1. surely MSI is picking up the pace with these audio driver releases. edit 11/16 - changed download link to the 6.0.9718.1 MS driver
  21. recently from Neowin - Microsoft kills unfixable KB5034440/KB5034441 updates, replaces with KB5042321/KB5042320
  22. I have to say it again time for a new modded audio driver update for August 2024. why? cuz MSI released a new Realtek audio driver thru the MSI LiveUpdate site around the beginning of August 2024 > version 6.0.9709.1. and from this Nahimic forum topic, here's the latest MSI related Nahimc APO4 + A-volute MSI Extension package recently posted on Google Drive (APO4 v4.11.6.0 + Extension 1.5.49.0) although MSI released a 6.0.9665.1 driver for certain MSI laptops in early July (but it's newer than the 6.0.9658.1 version released near end of April)
  23. recently discovered that the needed PKEY_SUPPORT entries are included in the A-volute MSI Extension 1.2.0.0 driver inside the recent MSI-NahimicRestoreTool-APO3-SWCv3.7.0.0-EXTv1.2.0.0.zip package though someone in this MSI forum thread is having some sound quality problems with the Nahimic APO3 v3.7.0.0 driver. but the DriverHub site has a newer APO3 SWC driver available - version 3.7.2.0
  24. Microsoft resumes botched up Windows 11 June update, but it now breaks taskbar - Windows Latest
  25. and probably it'll never come now as MSI seems to have released a new Realtek Audio driver thru the MSI LiveUpdate site near end of June 2024 - version 6.0.9694.1 (as I recently found out that someone mentioned the new version somewhere in the MSI forum site) so... it's time for a new modded audio driver update for July 2024 AND MSI also released a new Nahimic APO3 driver package > APO3 SWC driver version 3.7.0.0 w/ A-volute Extension 1.2.0.0 driver for MSI
