Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware

@solidus1983 It's ok, i appreciate your help in this matter. Besides, it's not a critical issue (nothing a wireless headphones won't fix π). But answering to your question, yes there is a small static noise while connecting the jack to the connector (when is not fully seated). From the top of my head i believe it always made this (i have other devices that makes the same static noise when connecting a headphones jack).- 262 replies

Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware
bbb27 replied to solidus1983's topic in MSI
@solidus1983Yes, Volume Control shows connected and Realtek Control Panel also shows as connected and the moment i connect it, it immediately changes the default device to the S/PDIF Output (as it always done since... forever). Other than the Windows 10 Update (19044.2075), no changes on the system, and for some reason i cannot revert this update π... And i cannot afford to format and clean re-install everything due to my lack of free time (and i REALLY need my laptop to work) but i guess that will be the only remain solution for troubleshooting this issue π© I'm pretty positive that your drivers are not to blame, because i also reverted to a previous version (9363) which i was sure it was working and the issue remained, so it was either Windows 10 being Windows 10 (as usual π€·ββοΈ) or the connector simply reached the end of it's life π , but since you guys are the experts on this kind of things i just thought it would be better i asked for your opinions βΊοΈ- 262 replies

Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware
bbb27 replied to solidus1983's topic in MSI
Of course. DxDiag report is attached. I only have 1 jack output and 1 jack input (it's a laptop, GS73VR-7RF). As soon as i plug in, the jack it's recognized, but there is no sound at all (not muffled or suppressed as you indicate in your troubleshooting guide). I tested the headphones on another device and they work normally. Other headphones tested and it's the same result. Again, don't know if it's drivers issue or if it was Windows newest update or the jack connector broke and maybe it was already like this and i didn't notice before because i didn't use it for a week π . Again, thank you for the help π DxDiag.txt- 262 replies

Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware
bbb27 replied to solidus1983's topic in MSI
I just noticed and tested the new drivers and pretty much everything works as it should (as before), except i don't have any sound on my headphones, even though they are recognized when connected π. I already fiddled with pretty much all the options there is on the Realtek Audio Console & Nahimic (deactivating/activating options, changing the sample rate, disabling the audio improvements, etc). The troubleshooting i did (aside from the ones mentioned by solidus1983): Tested the phones on another device, working, so the headphones are good. Rolled back to a previous driver with Full Uninstall (9363), no good. I checked the connector inside and there's nothing stuck, or dust or corrosion, etc. No Windows fresh install though due to my extreme necessity of having my laptop ready and i'm short on time to do it. Don't know if it's coincidence or not, but Windows 10 did make some updates very recently, and i didn't use my headphones (with jack) for a couple of weeks to ensure that it was Windows, and for some reason, i cannot uninstall the latest update π€¨ I'm 95% sure that solidus1983 drivers are not to blame, but i thought i shared my issue here, in case anyone is also having the same problem, or heard/read of it (unless it's the connector that simply reached the end of it's life). I'm using a GS73VR-7RF with Windows 10 21H2 (19044.2075) x64. Appreciate any help in advance π Cheers- 262 replies

Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware
bbb27 replied to solidus1983's topic in MSI
Hello solidus1983, Nice to see you migrated to this forum and continued the project, thank you very much for that π As for feedback for your latest drivers, the same is happening to me (MSI GS73VR-7RF). 9305, driver installs correctly (including APO3) but no UWP apps installs (Realtek Audio Console and Nahimic). 9326, driver installs correctly (including APO3) AND Realtek Audio Console aswell (at least for me), but Nahimic doesn't. Although, if i go to C:\Audio (where your installer extracts the files), and manually install the UWP apps, they install and work properly. kajdaniec & Tiki Thorsen Manually installing the UWP apps is the only solution i can find after i exausted all of the troubleshooting tips, so it's the only recommendation i have for the latest drivers. I recommend you to perform a Full uninstall first and then Full install (APO3 or APO4 depending on your system), as suggested in the driver tips before you try this. Then manually install the UWP apps. This steps worked for me at least. Hope this helps until solidus1983 can find the culprit (if he can and if he's willing of course π). Hope my feedback helps somehow. Cheers, and thank you again for all your hardwork into this π- 262 replies
