My bios and ec are on the latest already I tried a CMOS reset but I didn't know I had to hold the power button

Thanks dude, that helps alot I've run into a larger error where the power indicator is flashing orange when I try and boot the pc, no image displaying at all. I have tried booting with 1 stick of ram but it still doesn't post all that happens is that the power light flashes and the fans go to max any help?!

So what max clock should I aim for, would 4.9 / 5 GHz on 1 core be ok?

So i am upgrading my i7-8700k to a i9 9900k and i was wondering if there is much i need to change for the power limits and overclocking / undervolting for my new CPU. I know i am most likely going to try and clock the new CPU higher but are their any other things i need to change apart from the voltage and clock multipliers?

Just to clarify as well, i dont have to touch my EC at all to install this?

I have flashed my bios before to allow me to install my RTX 2070 as originally i bought this laptop used from PC specialist although it has been i think about a year since i had done it and im unsure how to do it again. My bios seems to be fairly unlocked already as i used the Clevo PC Bios which seems to be mostly unlocked although im not sure what benefit installing this bios really has

Hi, So I have been trying to play stray on my PC this morning and then suddenly my laptop turns off completely there are no lights whatsoever and my laptop was plugged in, I check to see if there is anything up with my PC and i turn it around at check the battery and find it is extremely hot, i managed to get it to boot back up after taking the battery out and find that it is completely drained even though it was plugged in the whole time! I've attached my battery report and im not sure if i need a new battery or a new power brick or both? If anyone could help me figure it out the issue it would be greatly appreciated battery-report.html

Hello again! I have come this time to ask about some how acquiring the Prema bios for the P751TM-G. @Premaif you would be able to find something I would be eternally grateful my current BIOS is 1.07.29 and my EC is 1.07.14 although i dont know if you need that. Thank you!

Load temps on most games don't seem to go above 75 the highest i've seen is 83 Celsius so i think thats pretty decent most of the time it tends to sit pretty comfortably between 69 -73

Yeah I asked a while back on the old notebook forums and i bought the exact same heatsink, although not from them from AliExpress because it was alot cheaper but seems to be of good quality! I have some Artic MX-4 at my flat but i'm currently at my parents so so i might have to wait to swap it out and see it it makes a difference. I've noticed that most of the temp spikes are single core boosts so I'm not to worried anymore 🙂 I also bought my new GPU from Clevo computer and been loving it. Thanks for the advice!

So, after a whole year of waiting I was finally able to upgrade my P751tm-g from a GTX 1060 to an RTX 2070, oddly enough the thermals on the graphics card are fine, but my CPU temps seem to be quite high idle anywhere between 42-47c, Im not sure if my thermal paste application was abit too liberal or if the thermals paste is just bad (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B092C7NXCZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) this is the one I bought it says it has a high thermal conductivity 13.8 W/mK which is slightly higher than thermal grizzly it was quite thick to spread out with the spreader so I am unsure if I have done anything wrong as I made sure to apply an even layer on both CPU and GPU dies (CPU is not delided) are there any other things I can do to improve thermals, I already have my laptop on a cooling stand with 5 large fans so I'm unsure what else I can do. The CPU is overcooked to 4.8GHz although that's a single core bost it tends to sit around 4.3GHz it's also undervolted by -95mv. I'm also wondering whether my 220w power supply is enough and if I should sell it and buy a 330w power supply this would increase temps but more performance in theory if I could give both the CPU and GPU abit of a boost, if anyone has any tips on bettering my thermals and maybe undervolting my GPU as well it would be greatly appreciated!!!
