I dont know in m18x but in AW18 to reset the BIOS the only way to hard reset its to remove all RAM sticks Power on the lap and when u get the third beep (if am not wrong) u must to put at least One mem Stick before the fourth beep and It Will reboot, was something like this. I dont think that u have an corrupted BIOS or something like that, Just It doesnt work with Ur new settings Better dont mess up ti much with BIOS. windows 10, i don't remember exactly the thing but just i tried time ago to launch with gtx 880m dual in sg and everything was working but sli wasn't available and when i launched games they were crashing at startup. that's nice but sli can be fine perhaps with old dx11 games, sadly dx12 cant be forced to run in sli and developers doesnt support it ofc anymore.

I am using the stock heatsink, but the second mxm slot, It fits well the GPU. I get decent results because i flashed an 125w vbios ( 115w stock) i have the non gsync variant. The clock esentially its an +200mhz on core clock and +600 on vram. Temps at the Moment arent that good in gaming After a while 88 degrees Celsius but in where i live we have like 26 degrees so, but i Will put some liquid metal instead and It should to fix the thing. Try to rise the tdp. 1650mhz are pretty slow. It u Need some advice glad to help

SLI in SG mode doesnt work ofc but there Is some kind of tool that change something in Nvidia driver that allows to enable SLI on different cards without bridge or anything else It should to work Also on SG. Btw, using dedicated Pascal GPU on slave slot does help to avoid pwr throttling getting Better perfermance but must to tweak manual fans

this is with an gtx 1070 msi on AW18, it can rise a lot still, just waiting to flash an 150 tdp bios. but the cpu 4940mx is throttling with almost every game

Sure buut depends, cables are not that big so Bottom cover could be modified, for example, i ve an AW18 and i can get It in from Back fan grill, plus internal display should be working in SG mode Also. Ofc old laptop have really crap cpus these days, but with an rtx 3060 still can be fun
