Great work @Mashcar! I have a few questions - which revision is your P5200 (picture of the board would be nice) and which vBIOS you are using? Do you use the DreamColor screen? Where did you get the soldering paste (RL-404)? Thank you and keep up the great work!

In 2020 I used an N-GAGE Classic (the taco) for about a month or more, because I broke my then main phone. I also have another N-GAGE, as well as 2 N-GAGE QDs (one silver edition), N93 and N95 8GB. As for network, 2G is still a thing around here, can't tell for how long though.

Rocking a HP ZR30w. Got it for the 10bits and 2560:1600 16:10 display. What makes it shine compared to other contemporary (similarly priced, since I got it second hand) 30" monsters is lack of OSD. Well that is a bit of a drawback but it more than compensates with the reduced input lag, again compared to other 30 inchers.

That was the plan, but things changed "a bit". Also these 16gigs would've been more than enough for 1200p, hell even for 1600p (my external). Oh well. Thanks! Thank you very much!

Hi there, New here, but it feels like home seeing that good old stuff are still up and running 😀 I'm still using my trusty 8740w for those of you that remember me, and for those who don't, well it's in the sig. Still using it on external* and looks more like desktop than a laptop. I'll try to put it together though... hopefully 😅 *Pascal and DreamColor don't play nice with this machine under Windows at least.

I did try to just solder a BIOS chip but it didn't work. I think there's a forum member with the right knowledge to make it happen. Not to mention that my system is a bit picky when it comes to output since it's not exactly eDP, rather DP driven LVDS converter board with a 10bit display to make it more fun. Anyway the card was brand new when I got it, now it has some K5 Pro residue, that's why I'm listing it as used, although it has like half an hour in total in the laptop, acting like dead, because without BIOS it is. I don't exactly want to part with it, but I'd rather have the money at this point in time. UPDATE (07Mar2025): Thanks to @GuitarG for supplying the vBIOS, I managed to run this GPU in my system. Sadly it still refuses to drive the internal screen. I made a few Time Spy runs, just to test it out. It runs fine I guess for my old hardware. I've uploaded a few more pictures. Auto-fan control works, which is bizarre! I'd rather trade that for having working internal, but it's not how it works 🙂 Currently the card has a vBIOS chip and has a DELL 110W vBIOS. UPDATE (09Mar2025): I may have word it incorrectly - sadly it's the DreamColor that's the problem, or the drivers, or both. It works fine on it while using the basic driver and during boot time. Once the driver is installed it works up until the Login screen and that's it. Then it switches to the external. So it works, just not with my setup. Similar behavior has the GTX 1070. The price has been updated as well.
