I like the looks of the new 7x70 series. Curious -- what is the reason for not allowing the perf back cover with the A1000 or A2000? (The reason I ask is that when I saw the 7670 I thought it would be an amazing machine for me, but storage and battery are more priorities for me than GPU. The A1000 is more than enough GPU for me. I would like to have 3 pcie4 nvme slots and the longer runtime battery. Maybe the 7770 is a better fit for me, but I was curious why the 7670 couldn't be.)

Ah -- it's the difference between the thin and perf chasis option. When you add a third hard drive, I now see "RTXA1000, RTXA2000 and Intel Video Card is not allowed with more than 2 Hard Drives." So with the 7670 if you want either the longer 93wh battery runtime, or a third SSD, you have to pay $800 for an upgrade to the A3000 video card even if you don't need that much GPU power. (or change to the 7770)

Looking at a new 7770 or 7670. I'm wondering real world what considerations to consider when selecting the warranty option: Pro Support Plus Pro Support Basic OnSite Service No Warranty Upgrade If I'm in a remote location where it might be just as easy to send it in as get on-site service, is there a difference in which support plan you would choose? And to make the question more difficult, if I may be in Mexico in the future instead of the US where the laptop is purchased, is there a difference in which option you would choose?

Is there any drawback to going with the SODIMM interposer in order to get ECC memory?

Interesting they moved the two fans together on one side instead of like previous precisions. Will be interesting also if someone reviews the 7670 and 7770 side by side and does a comparison of thermals, etc. I wonder if the larger chasis has an advantage (or disadvantage) for some components with slightly different air flow if everything is seated/pasted correctly. On the 7670 where does the third ssd fit? In the service manual I'm only seeing two, but I must be missing it since you can order three.

Does anyone here have the 7670 with the 83 wh battery? How is the battery runtime? Or are there any reviews anywhere of the 7670 battery runtime? Wondering how the 7670 with the 83 wh battery compares to the 7x60 series with the 95 wh battery.
