Windows 11, stable as a rock other then driver auto updates when told not to. On latest XMG bios and EC.
-
Works fine for me as well no issues, apart from Microsoft updating the SBX drivers and breaking atlas again.

that's ok. take your time. I don't see MSI releasing another newer realtek audio driver version until maybe next month.
btw, here was the direct link to that 6.0.9381.1 driver from MSI - apparently released for a new MSI Bravo 15 B5E laptop; took me a few weeks to find out MSI mentioned a new laptop model for the Bravo seriesThanks for understanding, it's been hectic so only weekends will be my downtime.

can some one send me the biso and instructions running 128gb ram and i9 11th gen k , need help on what i should do to get the best configs ,
Easy enough, the instructions are in the Zip file, However to make it easier, simply remove 2 ram sticks before flashing the bios and flash the G2 version of the bios for 4 Stick systems. After the flashing is completed and you have gone back to Windows shutdown and then insert the 2 sticks you removed back in.
I am also running this XMG on my PCS system without issue and its seems stable been playing for 4 hours no shutdowns. Although will not be using the system much now as i will be working 40 hour weeks from now on.

Found that it's down to Windows update, it installs newer creative driver 2.9 and to 2.3.5.0 that causes the issue so you need to disable Windows driver updates then clean the drivers out and reinstall them.
To solve the issue myself i used wushowhide.diagcab selected both creative updates to hide them then removed all drivers and reinstalled them in order
1) Realtek UAD
2) Reboot
3) SBX via setup.bat
4) Reboot
Then it worked fine for me.

my own sound blaster atlas has been useless for years now, doesn't even recognise the card itself
Did you install it all in right order.
1) Install Realtek Audio Driver
2) Reboot
3) Install SBX via the setup.bat
4) Reboot ?

I've messed with the settings after going through with @solidus1983 guide and my Sound Blaster Atlas doesn't seem to make any difference between profiles and the equalizer to what I am listening to.
Edit: definitely the software, tried it on another machine and it was enhanced.
I can have a gander over TeamViewer if you wish. Might be Windows has done a stupid update of driver in background.

guys: check in Device Manager (devmgmt.msc), expand the Sound, video and game controllers section, click on Realtek(R) Audio to view its properties and check the driver version that is currently installed on there.
the provided Realtek audio driver for Clevo X170KM-G (v6.0.9225.1) just doesn't quite have great sound quality folks. audio driver versions from 6.0.9225.1 to 6.0.9235.1 are mediocre at best. at least v6.0.9238.1 & some greater versions have improved sound quality.
perhaps try these Realtek audio driver versions on the X170KM-G laptop: v6.0.9285.1, v6.0.9297.1 or v6.0.9319.1 or even v6.0.9357.1
and forget about that 09_SBX folder - that has outdated Creative Audio Effects component driver (I think it's version 2.1.1.0). get a newer version of that (like v2.1.10.0) from here.
also, use wushowhide.diagcab, wumgr or WUMT (windows update minitool) to hide/block driver updates from Microsoft. don't use Win10/Win11 without any or all of these 3rd party update tools.
Where are you getting these files from?
Also the latest SBX is 2.1.14.0 also on 6.0.9329.1 myself -

Your going to need Display Driver Uninstaller and Driver Store Explorer [RAPR].
Disconnect from the internet (Yes Microsoft will install the drivers back on like the muppets they are)
Firstly Press Win+R and type appwiz.cpl , then find Realtek Audio driver and uninstall it, don't reboot just yet.
Secondly run Driver Store Explorer [RAPR] and look for the follwing inf files.
creativeextensiontongfang.inf creativeextensionclevo.inf creativeextensionacer.inf creativeextensionrs6.inf creativecomponet.inf creativesbconnect.inf
Make sure to tick them and then tick force Deletion and then Press the delete Driver(s) button.
Once this is done, run DDU in normal mode Select Audio and then REALTEK (WIP) Press the Clean and do NOT restart button after this has completed change the REALTEK (WIP) to SOUNDBLASTER (WIP) and select Clean and Restart.
Once rebooted making sure your still offline (NO internet connection)
Install the Realtek Audio Driver and reboot, once you have booted back up then run the Setup.bat file in the 09_SBX folder and let it reboot after its completed.
It should then work if it doesn't install the UWP's for Sound Blaster Atlas you can redownload it via the Windows Store or via this direct link https://download.schenker-tech.de/package/xmg-ultra-17-id-xul17e21/?wpdmdl=3947&ind=1639668133724 (XMG Link)
This will then get it working again. The restart between installing the audio driver and installing the SBX is important!

awww ok.
just saw this unexpectedly from the Station Drivers site a while ago this THU 8/11 - v6.0.9381.1 UAD MSI driver.
seems to be for recent MSI laptops (i'm not sure which ones)I know its a bummer but i don't want to get fired before my start date now do i.
-
Right the project is on hold for now, firstly the new server i was using had a SATA Controller fault so thats been RMA'd after it killed the SSD's (Data is safe), but also i have now been hired by a Corp and will be discussing about their IP side of things. Don't want to cause issues with the new employer by doing the driver mods and then them getting hit with DMCA's.
Once all that is sorted i will then update the thread, if i can't continue the project i will help someone take over said project as not to leave everyone stuck.
The last pack i made i did adjust the installer to make it easier should any issues arise and someone needed to take over.
I have all the Device ID's that are adding in file names related to which files need changing etc.
If i am allowed to continue just please bare in mind that i will be working so replies will be slow but will still be there.

I have the style note bios, 1.07.07 ec 1.07.04
Thats the latest for Clevo Stock bios, have you tried using XMG's bios ?
If you have 4 sticks you use the G2 versions. I do have a private for now archive of bioses and ec firmware for this laptop.

Where can I find the latest version of the bios
Which ODM you have?
I have XMG and PCS 1.07.08 Bios and 1.07.04 EC firmware in my home cloud storage.

Right if with the dell VBios its is now showing a screen you simply need to mod the driver, go into safe mode and remove the Nvidia driver with display driver uninstaller, then do not connect to the internet. as it will download the nvidia driver again.
Then get the Device ID of the GPU with the dell vbios and then mod the nvidia driver that should then get it to work.
Just make sure you have a nvidia driver already downloaded ready and use something like WinRAR or 7zip to extract the .exe file.
Update: So looking into it, someone is using a Dell Vbios on Aliexpress with a GPU almost the same as yours with Device ID 10DE 1BA1 1028 057B with the 86.04.42.00.03 vbios on it. yet a post below it shows the same vbios but marked for MSI??
Me personally i would send the card back then try again.

Does anyone else have an issue with Subwoofer, popping then cutting out??
Going to try reinstalling the Audio drivers, just happened to me two beats of bass then pop can cutout have to reboot to get it to work again for two beats before popping again.
As for power issue of uncontrolled shutdown, check SSD temps as that might cause system to shutdown uncontrolled. Else update the bios and ec if your not on the latest which is 1.07.08 bios and 1.07.04 for ec.
-
Your issue is that the MXM card in question is a Dell version thus, the MSI laptop can not read the sensor data. This might explain everything and the funky issues your experiencing so no matter what Vbios you use the issue will still be the same.
As for the Driver issue, the driver will not work as the Device ID's for the GTX 1070 is not in the driver.
Go example of a use of an MSI MXM GPU say my GTX 1060.
The laptop driver was expecting 10DE 1C60 1462 11AF however because the of the lack of Bios support the GPU showed up as 10DE 1C60 1462 11FF or if you did a bios mod then the ending would be 0000.
So you have to use modified drivers for the Aftermarket upgrade to work.

If you're looking to flash unsigned bios then afaik there's no way around that. You can only flash other signed bios files, e.g. I can flash a higher wattage bios for my 2070mq
Its been this way since Pascal from GTX10xx series upwards the only way to flash unsigned firmware was to SPI Flash it via a USB Programmer with an 1.8v adaptor.

I think it would work fine for CPU retention using the same screws as the ILM, except for the fact you would have to do something with the air gap between the die and heat sink cold plate that would occur with the IHS removed. You can't pull it down to the die because of the part of the cold plate than needs to make contact with the VRM components. If you to fill that gap with a small vapor chamber soldered to the part of the cold plate that normally contacts the IHS, that might work. It would definitely be an exploratory and experimental project due to the geometric complications with the design of the stock heat sink.
Didn't think of that, thanks for pointing that out. Goodluck with the sale.

Just remember to use a 1.8v Adaptor on that CH341A as the EPROM is more then likely a MX MX25U1635F which is a 1.6-2.0v chip. It will also protect you if you have a Faulty CH341A which puts 5v down the 3.3v line!!
