  1. I understand a lot of you are disappointed. I can't comment on the 7770, because we only have about 8 x 7670 in stock at our company. Personally, I think the 7670 is awesome. We don't need something with a 320W power brick, and the 70-75W TPL2 is plenty for most people doing compiling etc.. While it might not be as powerful as a 7KG ugly gamer laptop, it's still plenty for most. In short. It's powerful (enough) have a good selection of ports compared to Precision 5570, 5770, and still relative portable. But maybe they should have made the 7670 the portable version and the 7770 more powerful. But it's still all within spec, as the TDP for the CPU is still 55W and it runs at 70-75W after the initial 57 secs where it boosts around 90-110W.
  2. Why would they opt for something that gives less performance? While I don't fully understand IA AC LoadLine, it does seem to lower voltage a bit and gives a higher C23 score. Also, I did just try both turning hybrid gpu off + setting power mananger to ultra performance. Always the same 17k-17,5K in a 10 min run. It keeps at 75W at 80-85C, no difference.
  3. Why would they not be able to fix some values IA AC LoadLine, in a new bios, if they made a mistake? I actually did try to follow your guide, but it fails/BSOD after: 5. in "FIVR Control" Section, select "CPU P Cache", than check in "CPU Core" Section below "Unlock Adjustable Voltage" 6. Click Apply than OK on the bottom right of FIVR window
  4. Hi all Thanks for all your great comments. I buy laptops for work (working as jack of all trades sysadmin @ 100-ish people company) and just bought like 5 of these (7670) all with i9, 32GB CAMM, 1TB SSD etc, A3000 (so the thich cassis) but have also ordered 2 with A2000 to see the thinner model. For my "own" I started applying the IA AC LoadLine tweaks, which seems to push C23 from around 14,5K to 17K in 10 min run. Do you think we can expect Dell to fix this in a later bios, or is this something I should do for my 5 users? I also did the undervolt unlock, but it keeps crashing no matter what, like others have said. Seems there is some work to be done with Alder Lake here. About the fans. Have anything noticed a difference between Ultra Performance and Optized? Seems to be almost the same profile in this model, where the 5770 it was 45 vs 55 w PL2, so a little difference there, but seems to be 75W here no matter what.
