I have same on mine (6RF) I believe the top bar is like that on gt83 pre-multirgb keyboard, but fully-lit on later ones. In other words: it's fine :)

Dunno how much it will help, but i have successfully installed T9900 in Aspire 8935g. Tried Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 as well, but motherboard didn't like it =(
