M.2: CNVio2 support ? (AX411) and faster

I am seeing conflicting information about CNVio2 support. I am running a z490 with a 10900KF and want to replace the AX211 with an AX411 or faster Wi-Fi card. Is this supported? I have a Wi-Fi 6x router with 2GB fiber feeding it. Router will go Wi-Fi 7 when they are available.

Are there other options for advanced Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi-7 ?

hm why would u go with the crappy proprietary CNVi format? best to stick to regular pcie in m.2 form factor cards. the latter is universally compatible, whereas the former has to match your motherboard, too many headaches.

the pcie vs CNVi versions of wifi adapters have almost identical designations, so be sure u get the right one. i.e. for interl 201ax vs. 200ax, the 201 is the CNVi version whereas the 200 is the pcie version 🙂

Thanks for the reply, I guess I am still confused, If I want to upgrade from a Wi-Fi 6 (ax) network card to a Wi-Fi- 7 (be) card , that should be possible? I don't need  CNVi if it is un-necessary.

as long as u have an m.2 wifi port with pcie functionality u can slap in any wifi card with that form factor 🙂 just beware the subtle differences as mentioned above!
