They are different size, as is the 775 is wider, the same applies to the heatsink. In the ZM (4.gen desktop) they are the same , but after that they are not compatible. It may be a little late of an answer, but I looked into this specifically and did it to a small degree of success, but I needed to cut my bottom case to fit the heatsink. I have pictures, but it is on my other laptop so I need to find it and post it up once I do get it. So yes it can be done, but the fins on the heatsink are larger and will stick out the rear some. I doubt that they can cool to the same degree, the actual fins on the end that the fan blows through has a decent amount more surface area for the fans to cool. I am 99% sure the heatsinks on the P775TM dissipate heat better than the P750 does - even if technically they are rated to hold the same watt hardware. At least that was my experience. You can only either buy new heatsinks for the RTX30xx series, if they are available for the p750DM2, or I have adapters with which it is possible to screw on the RTX30xx. Here is the heatsink for a P750TM (I think could be P750DM2): Now here is an example of P775TM (or P775DM2) installed in a P750DM2 You can see the fins stick past the end of the notebook, but otherwise seem to fit. The other issue that you can't really see is that the depth of the P775 heatsink is also more than the slot for the fin section so it lifts up the heatsink just a little bit, just enough to make it not have perfect contact. And if you bend the heatpipes to get it to fit it will obstruct the air that is moving in the heatpipes to cool the GPU / CPU. Soooooo if you REALLY want to make it fit, you need to cut out around the fins to make it fit. Honestly not worth it and the rear is then fragile and you have to be careful not to bend the fins by accident. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

See from the top the different sizes: Red circled area is where I had to slightly bend the heatpipes up for the P775 to fit: Back side of the P750 showing how much the fins stick out past the case: Here you can see how much I cut of the bottom enclosure to fit the fins: So as you can see I do think the P775 has better cooling than the P750 even if on paper they say they can cool the same wattage. The one on the right has a heatsink pipe diverted from the GPU to CPU so that one might be able to handle a heavier CPU wattage while not being able to handle as high watt of a GPU, while the one on the left tries to balance it out between the CPU and GPU with more even power usage. Why don't you test it? I will try and test mine later on this year and see what is more effective. But I imagine it would depend on setup. Alfly_Alyx Posted May 9 Share Posted May 9 This post is old but I wanted to give my opinion. I own both and I noticed no siginificant differents, only few degrees less with the left one. In my opinion the right one is for high W CPU (as said below). My setting is 7700 and GTX1070. The models for the 17" is much better, and give less temps. I don't remember how much less (I tested its in 2018). There is another model from China made by CNC, but expensive (400 euros about). I am not rich enough.
