RaspianOS (Raspberry Pi)

Good Evening everyone!

After years of the Pi existing, I had no interest until a use case finally presented itself!

It looks like I will be starting with the Pi Zero W as I want to try my hand at using it with Key MIME Pi which is now deprecated into the TinyPilot product by the same creator.

I really like the idea so I want to test to see how well it works with QMK devices, since I have the Pi Zero W first, then I'll turn it into a Pi-Hole afterwards as the Pi 4B are quite pricey from what I remember some time ago.

Anyone else using Pi's for other projects?

Don't have a Pi yet, but it's been on my list for awhile now :D

Apart from the Pi-Hole, what I wanted to use it for is to be the "master" for syncthing, through which other devices can sync files.

Oh that looks interesting, didnt know that was a thing.

Just got the micro to Ethernet adapter in today for the Pi Zero W. I doubt it but I am curious if my Router will be able to supply enough power to the Pi0W

I have the following RasberryPI's

- 1B with clear case

- 2B in FLIRC case

- 4 4GB version in Argon ONE M.2 case

The 1B was given to me to mess with then i caught the bug and got the 2B which at first was used to monitor my DSL connection until i decided to run Docker & Portainer to which then was my personal Teamspeak 3 server via emulation and DNS Sinkhole. I recently just got the Raspi 4 ready for my next project to go along with my RISCV dev board. Just need to find the time now to be able to do things.

I might even repurpose the 1B as a wireless remote UART system yet.

Yes it looks like those sites sell the Pi 4B 4GB for 55 USD as well.

In the mean time I am thinking of trying to run one of these in a VM on my ESXi box, no idea if it work though

If esxi is available for armf then it will work fine.
