Alienware 17 r4 with motherboard from r5?

Hello,

did anyone tried or read somewhere if it's possible to install motherboard from r5 model to r4 case? Motherboards looks very similar, there are few minor differences but maybe someone pulled that off and can advice if it's worth the trouble?

They do look remarkably similar but there are a few very small differences with some connectors and the PCB that may make it hard or impossible. Check out along the bottom edge.

thanks for reply. At the end i decided not to try this. Motherboards are still quite expensive and i didn't want to risk so i went other way with different model.
