Maro97 Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 And in your read of the tester 4.84v x 2.16A = 10.4w for only one usb port so you need the cable with 2 double usb to 1 type c which i sent and the wled which i sent a link to you needs 9.34 to 11.97 W

RicardoRamos Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I'm also interested in changing my LCD panel. I'm happy with 1080p, but I want a higher refresh rate. I've found that there are 18.4 LVDS panels that work at 120hz, but maybe the cable doesn't support that frequency, so maybe I should get an eDP adapter to work with 120hz. It's also easier to find 120hz eDP screens than LVDS. I'm sure that weird connector next to the wifi card carries a video signal (I'm not sure if it's from MXM or integrated graphics, or both), but I think the best way would be to make a PCBway or something like that, a board that connects to this slot to use HDMI or eDP. It will probably be necessary to provide additional power, but there are several points on the motherboard that can provide 5v with ~2a.

I know this is old but most aw 18 lcds can oc to 95 to 100 Hz so I'm betting the cable is fine Btw I know this post is pretty old but j figured I'd chime in since I have an Alienware 18 r1 viking
