Yup, Win 11 is pure cancer, broken, buggy and unstable. Not that Win 10 is much better than Win 11 but the older OS is still the much better choice. This because Microsoft make every new OS worse than it's predecessor. 

 

 

 

Microsoft will most likely be forced to slim down their bloated OS package? Yup, only competition can force needed changes.

@Mr. Fox Newest Windows will never be a secure OS for consumers. Not even for business. And "if" they fix it be you sure they will break it again.

I think I finally have the wife talked into moving to mint or Zorin. I know how to get Space Engine working on my sons system too. I have to format his drive into some other format and it will work better than when it was on windows.

Microsoft getting help from game devs to throw fully functioning hardware to the landfill. How much did Redmond HQ pay them for this? 10 boxes of bananas?🙄

Both the upcoming online multiplayer shooters, "Call of Duty Black Ops 7" and "Battlefield 6," will feature anti-cheat and DRM measures that require Secure Boot. Activision, in a blog post on its Ricochet Anti-Cheat mechanism, confirmed that it will be a system requirement for the PC platform to have Secure Boot enabled, in addition to features such as a TPM 2.0 compatible hardware root of trust, including support for PCRs, sealing and binding. This would be the standard security policy for a fresh installation of Windows 11 24H2. Unlike "Battlefield 6," the latest "Call of Duty" doesn't seem to call for Virtualization-based Security (VBS) to be enabled. I guess it is not enough for Windows to be turned into unacceptable trash by its creator. Game Devs are deliberately turning their games into garbage, too. They are committing hara kiri.

I like the challenge of being ahead of MS with my hardened clutter-free version of WIndows 11. Until now - with minor regular modifications - i am totally fine with it. They try, they fail. And since i am not alone with this, i always find solutions, if anything comes up with an update.
My Win11 is running rather lightweight and very solid, let them come. And i always have Linux running on my 2nd SSD and my 2nd laptop.

I am back on my main dell notebook now and running win 11 again. I actually find it fine. I am sick of MS pushing co-pilot into everything, and more sick of hearing about recall and copilot vision.  That's to far. My wife and I use the basic copilot app for certain things we want but I have it turned off for most all of my software.  I was using the linux box for a bit and while, decent, I really don't think it's the right decision for us to use.
