welcome back bud, nice to be remembered from those good old days!

 

i had the same decision to make when i jumped onto desktop back in Oct-2022  (damn its been that long already?!). it really depends how much fun u have modding it and  how much headroom theres still left for modding. i had pretty much reached the end of the road for my Dark Knight, with a gpu upgrade being too expensive to be feasible,  so i rather sold off the parts and invested into my new monster desktop (see sig).

in general tho, i salute all Clevo hold-outs, those were awesome machines and the last stand of true DTRs! 🙂

3070 shunt mod still going with my 9900KS at 4.8Ghz.

Recently moved to two dual rank 16GB sodimms (3200Mhz CL22 stock) running at 3280Mhz 16-18-18-28-425

 

Got a 32" 160Hz 4k monitor, the dream would be someone selling a 3080 MXM on the cheap but yeah that's not going to happen.

Sig updated, someone also sent me a link to a 3080 so there might be more fun on the way.

Considering my 3070 running at 2GHz in game runs at 62C I think I have some thermal headroom.

I was also hoping to see some 3080's in the wild but nothing in my strike zone, I may have to sell some stuff to build another project PC as I'd like to get a 7900 XTX but dont want to give up my EVGA 3090 lol

There is a 3080 MXM quite "cheap" and UK sourced on eBay 😄

kool, but also feasible in terms of pricing? i mean, u can always offset it a bit by selling off ur modded 3070 🙂
