Yeah, I get that... just interesting in this case as a way to compare how well the Prism emulator works when faced with a high-CPU-load job.

I am seriously considering a surface 15 inch with 64gb of ram.  The only thing I am waiting for is to get some information on true creative workflows.  I have yet to find any information on 64gb X elite systems doing true creative workflows.  Once I get some more information, I will see what I am going to do.  I was looking at ProArt P16, but in true ASUS fashion, they have shoddy quality control and abysmal customer service.

UPDATE:  I have found some information on video editing on the snapdragon pcs. It's a big NO GO.  I have to suck it up and buy the ASUS proArt P16. It's the only system that gives me everything I want in a portable workstation now.  The ARM systems just grind to a hault when pushed with 4k video footage and adding any type of color grading etc.  The ProArt blows through it without issue.

This is using the snapdragon in Asus' proart system. Terrible performance.

Spotted this. Some "leaked" scores from the "NVIDIA N1X" APU. (It has been rumored that NVIDIA will hop into the ARM laptop space with their own SOCs later this year, or maybe early next year.)

Single-core scores are in line with the top laptop CPU offerings from Intel and AMD.

Multi-core scores aren't quite up there, but better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite.

I'm test driving a Microsoft Surface 12 2025 edition w/ M$ keyboard and slim pen with an 8 core Snapdragon in it and it performs on par with an M1 from Apple.

 

As always, Microsoft's problem is they don't know how to design Windows into a proper tablet experience like Apple and iPadOS. With the keyboard attached, it is decent little laptop but on its own? Clunky.
