im pretty sure it has two. my omen 16 which is smaller has two

older model even has 2

yeppers looks like it has 2

heres a snippet from the same topic

For the second SSD, if it’s like my Omen 16 it’s a gen 3 slot so save the money there. Mine has the same specs except a less powerful 3070 so I’m just making an assumption. Easy check, just take the cover off and it’s written on the board. Maybe you know already.

yeah It's kinda dumb for me to say go for the 16in when you want 17in.....but here goes nothing the 16in is the perfect size its 16in in a 15in form factor and very portable. but if portability isn't your thing then the much bigger 17in is the way to go....I mention this because of the temp performance it's one of the coolest running laptops out

Good info,  my issue with the Omen is that it appears to only have 1 SSD,  I need to talk to someone from HP

They have two.

alot of people say the legion 5 pro or 5i is the best gaming laptop string.....but im leaning towards the omens due to HP and build quality testing and temps.....tried tested and true...I had 3 msi laptops that crapped out then i just said never again...0 issues with my omen except I need better thermal paste

I hear the cooling solution in the omen 16 is very good but I wish there was 3 fans and a vapor chamber....im getting 3.6ghz at 90c....anything higher eventually throttles...ill just run a check to see what the max ghz is and report back.

Do my eyes deceive me, or did HP add charging over USB-C to the 2022 Omen lineup?

I tried charging my omen 2022 with USB c and it didn't work...mind you it was through a car USB port....just on vacation right now just checking in and I'm glad the forum is still doing good

Of course that's not going to work because car outlets don't deliver nearly the amperage needed to power a laptop. You need to use a proper USB-C GaN adapter that can deliver at least 20V/3.5A, with 20V/5A being recommended.

can you use a s21 ultra fast charger? whats the point in using usb c charging if it actually has to be a wall outlet to usb c charger? cool regardless

Finally figured out how to make changes to the BIOS on my Omen 16 with 11800H/3070. I can finally use Gear 1 with 3200Mhz and CL17 tuned timings. 😀

what exactly does that do for you?

Lower memory latency and overall better memory performance. Higher FPS in CPU limited situations, games like Warzone, Battlefield, Valorant all will benefit.

Somewhere in the 10,000 range. Don't remember anymore since I have a 140w vBIOS on my 3070 and it does around 11.3K GPU. Also runs icy cold with my Honeywell PTM 7950 thermal pads on CPU/GPU die.

also can I get a tweaked bios for my 3060

You can likely run a higher TDP vBIOS, what is your current vBIOS power? Does your laptop have a MUX, G-Sync or Advanced Optimus? What is the power supply wattage?

If you disable GV, and then enable the Gear Ratio in SA, then it will possibly reduce the latency on your RAM. but I'm not sure if it will even be a noticeable difference. Usually if something isn't noticeable, my recommendation is to just not tinker with the settings.
