I put "Official Thread" in quotes as I am sure all of about 3 people will buy this thing, but you never know. 🤣

 

This thing is gluttonously insane with all the extra visual bling and will come packing a 5090, 64GB of 6400 memory and a top end Intel 285 CPU.

Very excited about this laptop because of how unique it is. Been looking around and haven't seen any details about pricing or a possible release date. Anyone had any luck?

Just look at last year pricing for the Titan 18 top model with the 4090 and you have a good ballpark. I have not heard about availability but I would guess February or March.

Best thing about this laptop is the 4 NVME SSD slots (1xGen5 + 3xGen4) but RAM slots are reduced from 4 to 2 compared to the previous one

Maybe MSI thinks that two of the new 64GB CSODIMM will be good enough as they will allow for 128GB from just two memory modules:

I like me some dragon stuff but not enough to add 1500 bucks to the already silly cost. I may end up with its little brother tho if Clevo doesn't make something with a full keyboard.

only Quick Guide, User Manuals and "Mouse Drivers" are available for this new model; no other driver downloads are released yet on its support page (maybe until next month)

I found some listings for the Raider 18 on ExcaliberPC.

So prices have gone up a decent amount from the Zen4 models even before the current 10% discounts they have on them. I am not sure if these prices reflect tariff increases as well. There is also no QHD+ 240hz model listed now either which is a big disappointment.

 

The Intel variants with Arrow Lake HX are no less expensive either.

 

It will be interesting to see what power limits and clocks they end up allowing for the 9955HX3D. Hopefully much higher than it was for the 7945HX3D.
