SuperMG Posted Thursday at 09:05 AM Posted Thursday at 09:05 AM (edited) Hello. I installed the RTX 4080 MXM on this laptop. It displays but the GPU temps are stuck at 40C in the ClevoFanControl and in the central center. However the GPU temps are working in GPU-Z and on the windows built-in temperature readings. For example it says 60C on Windows and the 2 softwares are stuck at 40C still. I tested a Quadro P3000 and the temps are working and not stuck at 40C with the 2 softwares. I remember the 4080 worked on the P870, the temperatures weren't stuck at 40C. The same card works in the Dell Precision M6800 without any temps issues. I would pay someone 40€ if they can modify this open source project to support Windows built-in GPU temperature reading or using GPU-Z GPU temperature readings. It's called ClevoFanControl and it's on GitHub, it's written in C# by djsubtronic Edit: I think you only need to change the OpenHardwareMonitor Dll from that project? Edit 2: No idea, there's only ClevoEcFan.dll in the project that's it I downloaded the OpenHardwareMonitor software and the GPU temps are correct, the same as GPU-Z, HWINFO and Windows. Final edit: seems like I found the Obsedian software. It reads the GPU temps and not stuck at 40C. I managed to download the software and activate thru the help of @PasCLevofor the ini files and the help of @ViktorVfor the patcher. The software works with the RTX 4080 and 4090 MXM. The fan is working great and ramps up when the temperature are increasing! Very good!
