i wanted to buy a lg gram a long time, but the main thing that held me back is the very high minimum brightness of its screen.

every year they keep using the same matte IPS screens with a minimum of 30cd/m (NBC reviews).

since im using my laptop often in bed, thats a bummer and a no go.

is there maybe any way to reduce this, i read about the advanced bios settings, is there an option for this?

probably not, or a custom firmware or software to reduce the brightness even more?

until this day a hve no clue why LG is doing this. there is no plausible reason.

IPS displays can go as low es 2cd/m like seen with different Thinkpads for example.
