RTX 2080 bricked?

Hi, a friend of mine has an XMG Ultra 15(P751TM-G) with an RTX 2080. In Battlefield the Pic suddenly stands still. After reboot there is now only a Black screen. I put a P4000 in and the Device seems to work normally. Could that be that the card is now dead? He said that the temps were fine.

have a close look at the card, check for any abnormal SMDs, black stains, anything that might indicate a broken component. also, if possible, try the card in another machine to see if it still works.

I don’t have another machine where it could be working. Tomorrow or Saturday I will get my P775DM3-G Mainboard. There I have to flash first the DSanke Bios before I can test the RTX. But I can upload some screens where you can have a look at the card.

Also the core of the RTX is getting warm and the machine seems to start up in Windows.

Seems to me that mosfets are not being cooled properly. Start from there. Make sure the heatsink has good contact not only on the core but on vram and VRM circuitry also (mosfets, coils, etc.)
