HowTo - Change your Theme

This will be a simple guide meant more for new comers to the forum in how to change your Theme.

 

This guide will assume your starting position as the default main page as displayed here. 

 

 

Simply scroll to the bottom of the page (or any page) that you are currently viewing. Direct your attention to the option highlighted below. 

 

 

Once this option is selected, the menu will appear with the current options available to the Forum. 

 

 

As you can see, my current option is "Dark - Bravo 6". We have a default option that everyone has seen thus far, but my preference is Dark themes for pretty much anything I do on my PC.

 

Also to add on to @jaybee83 had recently discovered with formatting. If you copy/paste your signature from another source, the forum software will attempt to retain it in totality. Including the background coloring. In short, if you paste content from another source you may still have a black or white background to your text. In order to remove this, you must select this option highlighted below.

 

 

 

This should fix any static formatting issues when changing up your signature, or posts in general.

 

We hope to bring more themes in the future, and if possible an NBR theme to pay homage to where we came from as well as maybe a Dark version of that as well.

edit:

 

question, now that ive switched to dark theme, i noticed that my sig background is white. i tried editing that in the sig options but the background color option only changes the direct surrounding area around the letters. so ull basically have the letters with a dark background, then a white background and lastly the dark background of the theme... any suggestion?

It looks like you may have figured it out or got a tip from another member. 

 

Essentially you select the "remove formatting" option above the text box after having pasted your content. At very least this is how I have been resolving that little issue.

I intend to do a few more writeup's for things I have come across. Its probably not good PR for the Admin to admit this but I am likely the least experienced with this software before creating this soft landing for our group. Little things here and there :)
