otronics
Hi. I have a Clevo NP50D5 laptop. Only the blue LEDs on the backlit keyboard are working. All the red and green LEDs have "died". The laptop is 18 months old and all drivers and software are up to date. If I use Control Centre to change the LED colours to red or green, the keyboard simply doesn't light up. Is this is known fault? A loose connection? Something I can fix if I open up the laptop? Thanks.

You might have a fault in the small brown band that power the lights. 1 Clevo P870DM-G | i9-9900K 4.6 Ghz on all cores (-90 mv undervolted) | 32GB Hyper X Black 2666MHz | Clevo RTX 2080 3.1b undervolted for better temp 1905Mhz @881 mv | AUO B173HAN03.1 144hz Gsync | Samsung 980 NVME | 1TB SABRENT NVME | 2 TB SAMSUNG QVO SSD | Dsanke TM BIOS - Chujoi13 adapted based on needs | Network Card: Intel AX210-AX | Windows 10 Pro x64

Thanks. take out the keyboard, clean all the connections on both the cable and socket sides, then reseat. maybe that helps. otherwise, as @runix18 already suggested, u might have a faulty LED cable, thus time for a new kb.
