You are wrong.x170km can working without discreet GPU with unlocked bios, activated igpu even if dGpu isn't put on laptop. First part what TS needs its test GPU discreet (because he reset bios settings and doesn't matter unlocked bios or on - setting cames to default and iGpu is factory locked! ) and if not tested dGpu - there is no point in continuing, because the probability not working ram or cpu - in fact its minimal. the most vulnerable place for displaying an image is a GPU or LCD. Test GPU!

Your right, cannot be find on sale. Fit in Dell its possible but hard, because dell has IPS panel, HP has TN, and different lcd connectors, need create adapter with both pinouts.

This laptop was in use, i sold him. Nice laptop but not such an unusual case and design as m2010. But upgrade options is more more than 2010. My sold laptop configuration was - X9100 extreme edition (3,8ghz 2 cores) , 8gb ram ddr2 800, 8800m gtx ( know can be upgraded to FX3600m, Gtx260m with some mod) , ssd 500gb, and rare lcd 1900*1200 ( usually 1680*1050) Amazing fast laptop versus M2010. M2010 has more free space inside for upgrade and design its awesome! I want try to insert another motherboard more modern, but cannot connect LCD, because stock m2020/hdx9000 dragon has 8bit 2 channel Lvds input, all motherboard that can fit inside m2010 has or EDP MB output or LVDS 6bit 2 channel. And original lcd cannot work. I also had 20" cousin - Acer 9920G its 20,1" too big laptop, with 8600m GT video card and TV tuner. But design didn't like it. I sold too. Hp dragon much better. I know people, who is developing new upgrading video card to HDX9000 dragon - Nvidia quadro 5000m 2 gb , much powerful than 8800m gs. This card is removable discreet and has 8 bit w channels for original LCD.

On all Notebooktalk forum no memory about this amazing "laptop", its hard to say the laptop, because it has 20.1" LCD, 8.6Kg weight, removable stand- alone Mechanical!!! keyboard, pullout DVD RW and adjustable hingles! Also this is maybe first laptop 2006 manufacturing year with IPS CCFL LCD 1680*1050 resolution. Im old owner Dell XPS 2010. from 2014 year i have this notebook. i try upgrade this beautiful DTR (desktop replacement). Install T7600G extreme edition cpu and overclocked it. Stable working is 2.86ghz with 1,25v, but cannot get it to work on 3.0 or 3.16 ghz with any voltage - just freezing. I know , on Dell XPS m1710, which this cpu putting out , in bios settings this Cpu can be overclocked to 3.16 Ghz. also i install 2x120Gb SSDs in RAID 0, in CrystalDiskMark i have 230Mb/s. And i have project to install enother GPU in this laptop like geforce 7900m GTX, quadro FX3500m. problem in not supported LCD. Ati x1800 has 8bit lvds 2 channel, Fx3500m has 6 bit lvds. bit card is working via DVI output. I transfer DVI signal to LCD with Aliexpress universal LCD scaler and it working! Its shame that it cant be installed more than 4 gb ram and ICH7 not supported more than 3,45gb memory. Who still has this laptop and use ? YOUTUBE rewievs

@Teo you unlocked XMG bios? can you share? i not use xmg because unlocking patch not workink with XMG but working with origin pc eon bios. i use intel graphics. xmg bios have restrict power for cpu, i tested both bioses and XMG bios CPU points are lower than Origin (Style note), tdp is limited to 150W factory, on origin bios limit is 200 or higher (dont remember) but CPU speed is faster and higher clock

great job! your heatsink have very nice view! for work heatsink need be in horizontal position! because in pipes are water or enother liquid and has ability to flow in another positions laptop.

you can use fan from x170km or x170sm (fans are same). on ebay you can bought heatsink used, on aliexpress also can find heatsink and fans separately

Did you check dump or cutting adress from bios? when i replaced New chip i dont flash anything (because not have programm tool for ite microcontrollers) and it working.

on my 170km shorted power bricks even plug in - i changed ITE5770 multicontroller - this is weak point. about your problem - i dont know but i think it can be Multicontroller

i updated my Origin pc 17x to XMG bios (on xmg site ) following the instructions - no any issues, but this bios cannot be unlocked in future and i flash clevo stock bios back (not EON, because i not backuped it)

best first pugrade CPU to most supported than 2 -nd gen. maybe problems in intalled cpu. On my m17X r4 i use P3200 without issues. 60hz lvds lcd. SG Mode bios boot. cpu is 3740qm overclocked to 4Ghz

Who was able to run rtx2080 on x170km? I bought heatsink from SM version and put in rtx2080 8gb- laptop is startup, loading windows, but video card is not visible in device manager, not recognised, and has PCI error, cannot install any video drivers because not visible in device manager, only AIDA64 in PCI video show RTX2080. Anyone have solved this issue (acpi error) ?

i have 1080 Aetina too, tested on AW m17xr4 LVDS 60hz optimus enable (SG mode) and working but without extra power drop core and memory clock, because max detectrd TDP 3sec than drop - is 150W and without EXTRA power this card cannot working! And this card cannot working as PEG, because its GFX accelerator, as Tesla M6...

hi. nobody not reply because nobody now doesnt use old hot and not reliable, and all owners already use Maxwell or Pascal video cards which not have problem with cooling VRM (much colder than old 675m) -

Yes, i flash - your bios , but on my 870km flashed bios not supported SLI mode... I cannot enable it.
