    lp173wf3-slb1, requires the edp to lvds adapter and cables. does rtx 3000 using the original vbios or the hp rtx 3000 vbios that works on m6700? i forgot how someone setup his hp mxm turing gpu on m6700 using edp or optimus?

    did but now is completely gone but lucky i archive as pdf, this is what he said how he did it and the files he posted on this post. if the date is correct of the pdf this is 2 months after he went ask in macrumors.     you could try tinker the vbios like that person did with his quadro p5200 if your vbios chip cant be attach with CH341A, i think they call the section what i seen in a redit post talks of what started to get the quadro 5200 working is the header?, like anything before offset line 00000A00. i recently messed around p106m vbios by replace the header with the working vbios of quadro p4000 and it allow me to boot without me switching out the gpu just enable back optimus and back in the p106m, but the same story on p4000 on m6600 but is unusable, it shows on device manager with yellow exclamation mark with the drivers installed and powertech read clock speed zero. possibly some where in the header to allow optimus to work on m6600? i also have theroy of maxwell gpus of tesla m6 and the vbios of m3000m i posted both hold key to allow optimus to work on m6600 for tesla m6 with m3000m vbios as it has no header but the code is different vs other m3000m vbios and the header of m6 like as i try m6 on my m6600 it booted to windows even tho optimus doesnt plus the trick i did with p106m, may allow the maxwell gpu to boot into windows without it freezing. i seen certain models of gtx 980m on ebay that you could attach CH341A making flashing easier to unbrick gpus when you mess something up.

    Hello i like to share a vbios of m3000m that works for m6600 (credits goes to ather/545sytes) i test it on similar spec quadro m3000 SE and it allow me to boot only in optimus but unable to use it or did something incorrect. couldnt test any further cause i try difference vbios and brick it. m3000m vbios for m6600.zip

    Hello. anyone have issues shutting down the m6700 on windows 10 and is there a fix for it? when i try to shutdown my m6700 the screen turns off then it like turns the screen to the login screen. the restart option works that how i turn it off. with f12 boot option.

    when i put like m4000m or p4000 it is enable by default and u have option in the vbios. but for p106m and m6 when changing to those gpu, optimus is enable but the option is not available on vbios, after u turn off it switch to gpu display even tho those gpu dont have display. it will boot to windows but with no display.

    nope didnt work. i flash the vbios in the linked video still optimus is disable/didnt worked. ๐Ÿ˜•

    I gotten my hands on Tesla M6 and it resulted that optimus didn't function even with the trick i did on p106m. with the trick: it did display with intel gpu on the screen but the gpu wasn't on device manager, when I restart to see how it behaves. it turn on with no display but able booted windows. does Tesla M6 require some type vbios to work i hear for optimus to work ?

    Yeah the only gpu that work without swap back and forth with m4000m to re enable Optimus is quadro p4000 but couldnโ€™t use it Optimus option unlessโ€ฆhardware Iโ€™d or something about the lastest driver vs the outdated Gigabyte drivers I used on the p106m with working Optimus? Cause there are 2 Iโ€™d of 1bb7 . Even tho I used power tech driver signed option. Wonder if anyone have suggestions way to get it to work . I try to reflash the hp m4000m and hp se 3000m i gotten with the adapter I used to reflash the p4000 on the same pc I used is a second gen cpu, and I tried the Pentium 4 build pc but it didnโ€™t recognize like itโ€™s not the device manager. Not even nvflash canโ€™t find it. I think it require Intel third gen level bios pc cause it recognize on my m6700 on device manager when I didnโ€™t had the p4000. But havenโ€™t did it yet.

    Update... I was unable to get the option to use Nvidia gpu instead intel gpu on newer driver. has optimus been discontinued on newer drivers? same on older drivers the Nvidia control panel does not start after installation instead run it manually by going to the folder. it has the option and select it to the gpu but no change after apply still use the intel gpu. i try using windows 7 to see any different on the gpu switch option control panel is there but still wont use the Nvidia gpu, after installation of Nvidia the aero is disable u cant reenable it. even tho the drivers are signed. ๐Ÿ˜“ i did one final test is disabling optimus bios and enable windows 10 startup sound to see if it boot with no issues without optimus and it successfully boot to windows 10 as it played startup sound. dell never create edp cable for 50pin edp screen (well for interposter for 10bit ips lvds screen ).

    Big discovery of experimenting. Got the chance to try my quadro p4000 from my m6700 to my m6600 cause I was inspecting my p4000 to insure that my thermal pad and paste is making contact while vram Half covered. it booted from bios to os with no issues and the best part is nvidia Optimus doesnโ€™t switch off from powering down like the P106M does. As of now I couldnโ€™t the gpu because itโ€™s missing the option to use the nvidia processor instead of the intel gpu in the nvidia control cause of something to do with editing the hardware Iโ€™d and and drivers not sign now after editing. like the third try I did with P106M but with more updated driver with same issues. Not sure I need to edit something else then hardware Iโ€™d to enable the option to switch. Iโ€™ll continue testing tomorrow and find ways get gpu working to do some benchmarks.

    what number is the bios for m3000m? Did it require bios version to be flash for it to work?

    Should have made the mod driver but instead used that one for a quick test ๐Ÿ˜… because it was getting late at night.     i used picture reference from powertech to know where the small capacitors on chip without nicking them with the box cutter blade. then i wiggle the cover off carefully thinking i might rip some die pieces like deliding modern intel CPUs. i think they thermal glue on those CPUs. my was dry thermal paste.

    Hello everyone wanted to share some science stuff on m6600 with a delided p106m. with optimus enable by using m4000m cause p106m does not have output with or without edp screen as i installed it on my m6700 and had upgraded the screen to edp screen before my p4000 was delivered and m6600 had FirePro m6100. I used gigabytes drivers that have hardware id for it but they are outdated. I did some benchmark of 3dmark vantage with high setting 1080p idk if it has v sync option but no v sync was used and used the latest 3dmark basic edition with 1080p. may not be accurate benchmark as basic edition restrict you from changing the settings. perhap it maybe beated the gtx 680m or performs worse. I try to do some dx12 benchmark but ended with errors perhaps the driver are old or some stuff are missing cause the drivers are made for mining gpus. i didnt used the lastest geforce driver cause i forgot to snap shot the hardware id on the first try as this is the second try. what i mean by that is there is a issue with nvidia optimus a bios or gpu issue but is disable but can still used until u turn off, put to sleep, and restart the laptop will switch to p106m as display instead of hd 3000. perhaps the tesla m6 work with no optimus issues? but may not be worth? using optimus could hurt performance i heard by bottlenecking the bandwidth as data goes forward and backward to hd 3000 to display it.

    like you say i have to wait 90 sec turns out it works the whole time it was first installed๐Ÿ˜“ all i need is mod the drivers. 1 last things i want to ask. have you guys have issues having the lid not locking when u close it? cause i have that issue. wonder u guys found way to fix it? Thank you ๐Ÿ˜€

    Hello I hear a p4000 mobile works on m6700 with a vbio from notebook forums. I flash it with that bios using pcie 1x adapter on desktop pc with windows 10. I follow the steps for flashing and I see post where they used linux to flash. I install it and no post from after powering. Not sure what missing the bios file is a bin I did research where they say rename the bin to rom cause they are the same. Not sure if it's the screen cause I upgraded screen lvds to edp 120hz it have no options for nivida optimus with the quadro m4000m haven't flash from hp to dell bios yet. It did have the option on the lvds screen. Is there something I need to enable or disable in bios?
