  1. Well... i was not able to resist... the darkside inside me stronger it was.. My RX 6900 XT got a new home by a friend.
  2. I replaced the original pad from AMD on my RX 6900 XT with 7950 PTM and had very low Hotspot temperature with air and with my Eiswolf 2 from alphacool.
  3. I tried 7950 PTM on CPU and GPU with the GE76 Raider 11UH with 3080 and use it on my RX 6900 XT with Alphacool Icewolf 2. With 7950 PTM the 3080 from the GE76 temps are awesome and it runs now from time to time in the powerlimit but no longer in the temperature limit of 86°. There should be some values in this topic from me. The GE76 has now a mainboard damage (not from me, first the camera was not operational and then the Lady shut off without any warning).
  4. Apex on the CPU should be no problem the contact pressure is good enough for this with the GE76 Raider. For the GPU was it not enough so i used TFX on the GPU. But since Honeywell I don't wanna use somehting else 😄
  5. I must renew the double-sided tape on the display frame in the area where the adapter is sitting. i used this one

    MSI GT77

Yep and if you don't do it correct the display frame will not hold at this area of the display..-.- Maybe i need to rework this area with double-sided tape 🥸
  7. Kapton tape... Why? want to try to save my fingers from the heat of the GE76 Raider 11UH. Or maybe you gents and lads have some advice for some good and thin isolation.
  8. Would say it is currently cheap ^^ And cheaper as i bought it for 20€ now 19€... damn maybe buy it a second time...
  9. Friend of mine used thermalright TFX for a year now and found this today when he doing his yearly maintenance work on his GE76 Tiamat. As you can see it looks like the paste was flowed from one corner to the other. anyone has the same experince? He had no performance or heating issues.
  10. Insert the last two pictures i forgot due to illness of the whole family it takes longer as i want.
  11. 30XX Series, 40XX Series, Intel 12th and 13th generation.. AMD with Ryzen and 5000 and 7000, RX 6000 and 7000 series... We need new innovations for cooling the heat of hell out of our systems 😄
  12. So far it is done one or two pictures must be retake. Everything is working as expected.
  13. Pictures added to post and from now on 1.5 hrs before the screen is arriving 😄 and please ignore the dirty screen and the other dirt parts you may find😋
  14. The FHD cable is 40pin 21mm and the UHD has 25mm you will need a new cable or an adapter for this in my opinion.
  15. But he can use it on 3.0 gen so why not and it should not get so hot like nvme which work with PCIe 3.0 Gen.. I would say with temperatures the KC3000 could be the better option and for the future a little upgrade.
  16. Update I decide to bought the WQHD 240Hz display, i got this for 200€ the 4K 120Hz for 400€ and my experience with WQHD with the Asus G15 AE was very good. Shipping starts monday and take 2-3 days.
  17. But one funny thing... the first pic from Time Spy i run it with balanced mode with the GE76 and the GPU hits the temp limit of 86°. With high performance mode from the MSI Center it hits the power limit only.. looks like i need to to set it to user mode to modifiy the fan curve. Edit: MSI Center Settings: Score Time Spy and no temp limit
  18. So far i would say yes it uses the the driver from Nvidia is is useable for AMD GPUs as well only the power is not reading correctly for AMD because they use another way for power consumption if i understand it correct. m/content/geforce/technologies/frameview/frameview-user-guide-1-2-web.pdf Mass Effect Legendary Edition above frameview and in the left lower corner MSI Afterburner. GPU temp is the same but cpu msi afterburner shows 3° more maybe measurement tolerance? Time Spy bench with standard settings 1-2° differnce for the cpu but gpu is for both the same but this honeywell ptm...
  19. Installed, tested and i think i will use it for a while. Thanks brother vasudev
  20. That honeywell stuff... Currently the RX 6900 XT 29° in IDLE and with Order of Battle temperature 2 was over 75° and more.. now it hits 70°... Temperatures while running 3D Mark Time Spy are less as well.... I'm absolutly impressed so far and hope this will hold for a long long time..
