How did you get around the ACPI error ? Or did it work well out of the box ?

Thanks for the info ! I looked into other forum threads and apparently the i7s with green pga adapter boards have a higher chance to work with 4 channels, but I really doubt it If it only supports 2 channels, I'll just buy 2 16gb modules

Why did you need to remove 2 sticks of ram ? I'm also looking to put either a 4980hq or a 4940mx in my m4800 Does anyone here have a 4940mx in their m4800 to confirm that it will run at 57w ? It would be pointless if it runs at 47w If it runs at 47w or if it's heavily heat throttled I'll just buy a 4980hq on Ali to replace my 4910mq (if it supports a quad ram stick config)
