Mine is still fine. Uptime at the moment 7 days and 1 hour 🥰

Very good 👍 I enabled C-State again and disabled enhanced C-states. So C-State is not complete disabled. At the moment it works fine. btw: very interesting discusion in the xmg discord channel. Prema talks about the problems and why he stopped working on Prema Bios. https://discord.com/channels/269128311781720064/798227835239268392

That's the C-State options in the unlocked bios. Maybe i'll try to play with the settings, to keep C-State enabled
-
I don't know it, but thats also my thoughts. Try it for us.

Here a good discription of the C-State modes https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/de-de/000060621/what-is-the-c-state?lang=en Disabling C-State for the X170KM-G is only possible with unlocked BIOS.

Remove all ram modules and stick only one under the backcover. And there is a GPU reset shortcut. But i don't know it. FN+D or ALT+D. Maybe someone know it.

No uncontrolled shutdowns 😂 I don't feel any difference. Maybe Idle power consumption is higher but who cares 💁♂️
-
It looks like, if found the solution for the uncontrolled shutdowns. I disabled C-State a week ago. Since it's disabled - no shutdown 🙂

1.07.08 is the latest known stock bios and its possible to unlock it https://my.hidrive.com/share/yze8mg-wf8#$/BIOS and EC Firmware/CLEVO/X_Series/X170KM-G

They are working very hard on it. 6.014 is available
-
CCC 6.012 available https://download.schenker-tech.de/package/xmg-ultra-17-id-xul17e21/

I don't use it for gaming. I'm a technical draftsman and use it for 3d drawing and rendering. I need max mobile performance, when i visit my customers. Only for gaming at home it's useless.

I paid 6000 EUR 1,5 years ago 🥲
-
Between 2000 and 2500 EUR in my opinion. But for this money, you can get better notebooks (faster/cooler/quieter/lighter). So, its not easy to sell it. Greetings from germany 😉

I change something in the bios and activate it also in the device manager. It works from complete shutdown.
-
Today, it was possible to get wake on lan working. Now i can start the X170KM-G remote from everywhere (from my homeserveR). Thats a really good workaround for me. But i hope the uncontrolled shutdowns will be fixed. I can't sell the notebook with such an issue.
-
Too sad... uncontrolled shutdown still there...
-
I hope for more stability. Mine shut off from time to time without any reason. Maybe the new ACPI bridge driver will help.
-
It start later. The delay to start the fans is bigger in my opinion. So the temperatures from time to time are a little bit higher, but the fans don't start.
-
I would say, yes.
-
I'll ask XMG. It feels like the fan control is better and it install a new ACPI bridge driver.

New CCC 6.007 available https://download.schenker-tech.de/package/xmg-ultra-17-id-xul17e21/
-
I don't know. I only know, XMG is working on a new CCC. Clevo X170KM-G and XMG are exactly the same hardware. And XMG tried the best to fix all problems...
-
No solution. XMG has considered removing the feature from the BIOS entirely. You can only wait and hope for the custom BIOS.
-
All stock - no custom curve. That "OC on" BSOD is a known issue. I had it, too. 10th Core CPUs looks way more stable.
