I vaguely remember, but back when I hacked wifi. the only way to do it was through linux i think it was called backpack or backtrack can't remember but yeah I ended up hacking my neigbours internet on windows just for education lol..but yeah linux has always been ahead of the curve for as long as I remember, but honestly I have yet to try it, I have no idea why I keep stalling. ill give it a go in a bit.. just looked it up man I forgot alot of things..suprised I remember my birth date..it was called backtrack and the method was arp spoofing...packet injection was my thing....modifying a arp packet to use for injection....its funny cause i was the first and people still don't know how i did it..believe it or not but 1 packet can be cloned into billions of arp packet in minutes allowing for anything from anyone to be penetrated even without the target. im not interested in that sort of thing anymore and if i continued on with it id probably be rich at the start and broke and rotting behind bars later..most of the best get caught..very rarely do people stop and change. for me it was mental illness causing the withdrawl from society and my old mode of thinking..now i sit at my computer like a veg. I don't think this talk is inappropriate as its vague.. -
ill just let this settle as you guys say it takes time to cure, i kinda lied lol well exaggerated ive only had it on for a day but my reasoning is why would it need to cure, makes no sense but you guys seem to know what your talking about....its been on for a day and a half but my temps are awful...oh well i hope your right..if they dont improve im trying LM
-
yeah I got it done....lol...as you know..but im thinking lm is a bit risky(shorts) london drugs wont do LM no idea why as if they are the tech professionals you think they would have more confidence in doing something NBRers do all the time

if windows becomes cloud based im sure most will switch to linux. I have been hearing about linux for 20 years. my old boss told me to check it out. that was 2003. -
your hyping me, but im not very good with this sort of thing..I got 99percent in programming in school but I know nothing about linux seems daunting with my current mind

yeah your probably right, I heard we were due for another ice age. it's just alot of people are talking about global warming....makes you second guess your own thoughts. one thing..when the earth was covered in lava and had a surface of mainly volcanos..what happened? did life cease to exist//that fact im typing this is proof...it will always have cycles. untill of course the sun engulfs earth and the other planets and goes super nova.. -

woah now that is hot. we are supposed to be around 102.2 f on sunday, but yeah 119f thats too hot, I wouldn't like that. In lytton BC up here way way up north it hit like 48c maybe a few degrees more, and set a record. could this just be a weather pattern in the sense its likely happened hundreds of years ago or is it because of global warming due to carbon emmisions. I was anti global warming thought it was a load of horse dung. but now yeah. not much to say id like to add this...from 1913 The hottest temperature ever recorded was 134 degrees (56.67 degrees Celsius) in July 1913 at Furnace Creek, said Randy Ceverny of the World Meteorological Organization, the body recognized as keeper of world records. Can humans survive 120 degree weather? It could be fatal. It is commonly held that the maximum temperature at which humans can survive is 108.14-degree Fahrenheit or 42.3-degree Celsius. A higher temperature may denature proteins and cause irreparable damage to brain. Simply put, the human body can turn into a scrambled egg.Jul 2, 2021 -

https://www.newegg.ca/p/2MB-001F-00046?Description=honeywell pads&cm_re=honeywell_pads-_-2MB-001F-00046-_-Product it was like this kit Should I get liquid metal by thermal grizzley? or do you guys still swear by honeywell phase change pads? i'll give it another go but im not liking the odds. with my stock paste I would throttle but my cpu score was up to 11000 in timespy. and with the honeywell pads I am around 9800 max. I need to repaste with something as my games are either stuttering from 8gb/32gb ram or thermals. im using the phase change right now and this thing is getting hot. maybe we could do a before and after (PCP vs liquid metal) but if im getting higher temps than stock tim whats the point as for ICD I have never ever after owning 10 or so laptops applied it and had worse temps than stock, its always a 5c-10c improvement, in a worse case I would see temps stablize around 90c but usually with each gen of cpu the temps would stop rising around 80-87c. right now i have to lock vsync on to prevent overheating. ok found it https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004744332050.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.42dc1760nVKqGY&algo_pvid=285e6798-ea13-419f-8012-863f66894d44&aem_p4p_detail=202307171510192160000765154650020917109&algo_exp_id=285e6798-ea13-419f-8012-863f66894d44-0&pdp_npi=3%40dis!CAD!19.49!13.64!!!14.40!!%40211bf31716896318193364221d077d!12000033104756534!sea!CA!0&curPageLogUid=cpPn0e7B6u92&search_p4p_id=202307171510192160000765154650020917109_1

I did not, I downloaded a chrome OS and a Linux one but chicken'd out. I can't do much with my memory. I basically have young mans dementia/not joking. I could try and see how fluid it is for me. but im just glad to be using windows 10 once again. im going to fiddle with windows 10 for a bit then eventually, when I get my ram and ssd in a few weeks ill use a quad boot. Chrome/windows 11/windows 10/ and linux(zorin). i'm just hesitant. no idea how smoothly the install will go, at least for chrome it will be laborious. many steps and like I say my memory is now shot. was thinking about the nuc..partition 256gbx4 and do that on the nuc. -
lol nice find. I laughed a little while scrolling a few topics haha like 99 percent of them veer off topic at one point, and the desktop benchmark thread is soley off topic with the odd on topic bench. lol like 10 000 posts of randomness. I can't remember if NBR had the same problem but on topic I get my 32gb stick of ram on the 19th...ooooh only 2 more days of waiting and 2 more days off mixed memory judders in games..

Is less more or less @ryan?😬 all I know is what I know, and I know for a fact newer is 100 better every single time. Im buying a new 3060 laptop because I know it will be better, its newer and without thinking I know it will perform better...just because. -
right now we are having a great summer. 22c tomorrow. just dandy. loving this summer lol on my computer inside 24/7 going out tomorrow, walk hang out at the park and give you fellas a rest from me

Im pretty sure its just how nvidias newish drivers interact with older gpus, Overclocks don't stick, you have to use L key in afterburner to get any overclock. I guess it doesnt matter, I didn't get the choosen ones lottery sample so I will not be topping 9500 in time spy, and 30th in FS ultra isn't bad considering all things. now its time to setup for gaming, I think undervolting then overclocking the undervolt is more practical, lowers temps increases performance and extends laptop life. For desktops its all about the Hz. Once I get my greezy hands on a desktop i'll start benching again. also thanks for all the help over the months. me 5 years ago trying to overclock my toaster -

haha thanks for that, as grumpy as I am that made me laugh. yeah thats true, but I remember @Papusanand @Mr. Fox back in the day when they benchmarked laptops, they were always tops along with johnksss, and @Prema. their scores are still there. I flashed my vbios to 140w and its working but the performance gain was lost with a install of windows 10 and for the life of me can't get my stock timespy score back to 9300 overall. cpu is down and gpu is down 8 percent. thanks for that @Reciever ha ha -

@Papusanbro don't you always preach newer is always better, haha. I feel grumpy, mad at everything lol. computer is running slower after removing like 100 processes. benchmarks showing lower scores with a debloated windows 10 vs stock windows 11. I have no clue as to how you guys do it or have the patience to do it. 😛 -

sorry for not clarifying but ironically I meant in general for everyday use but that depends on what your doing. I was thinking like opening apps/files loading web pages/startup time/ect. I think upgrading cpu every 4 years and gpu every 5 years is worth it, but I have the habit of upgrading every two years. was thinking whats the point, 2023 games or 2022 games like sniper elite 5 look great but overall the look is fake and not a huge 17 year jump you would expect with that amount of elapsed time. when I was younger I had a sega genesis and it was 2d, then i had a playstation it was 3d and had textures and polygons it was a big big jump in 5 or so years, then I had a dreamcast and that was another huge bump with shenmue 1 and 2. once again 5 years. now I load up halflife 2 from 2005 and more than 15 years later (3 gens) it still looks ok or good by todays standards. no major advancements. thats just my opinion of course, but I honestly think half life 2 and crysis one still look good. ill show you what i mean, in pictures(1000 words).hang on 2022 may this should look 100 percent like a video capture of real life. basically the pinnacle of graphics 2007 15 years old, should by comparison look terrible in comparison 15 flippin years of progress for what, slightly better textures and to put salt on the womb worse lighting quality and less complex geometry.(not always but overall similar) in a candid shot its impossible to tell which is from 15 years in the future. heres a sega game vs a xbox one game 15 year gap now guess which is 15 years older and in forums and in real life when I have a good point(my opinion). people argue without facts or descent reasoning. it just gets shrugged off. -

Do you notice a difference in daily usage having a 6ghz 13 gen cpu vs a 9th gen 4ghz cpu. I remember owning a sager with windows 7 and im pretty sure if memory serves me correctly it was faster or as fast as my current laptop but 8 years later, sometimes I wonder why I even bother upgrading -
those are pretty good scores especially the cpu. I always thought the 3060 was light years ahead of the 1660ti, but thats not the case, you basically get the same experience i do, i get to run shadows at high, you medium. in the end the difference is barely worth the hassle of selling your laptop and then slapping down another 500 bucks
