cute pic? that looks like me on a good day 😛 @tps3443 posted a video a month ago looks like he's running 8800mhz ddr5 which is incredible. hes getting awesome performance out of his system, I wonder how long the 3090 will be relevant for? after doing some quick math on performance of my tweaked system, im getting the equiv of 14000 timespy GS in games. I get half of a 3090s performance, I don't really care why but its nice getting this kind of in game performance. I think my next step will be searching for modified nvidia drivers or just do it myself .all kidding aside I think if I save 500 a month in 6months ill be able to get a discounted 13900k and 4090. and then when the 5k gpus are out ill be able to upgrade to that, will be interesting to see how far I can push desktop parts. The elite and their special samples will always hold the top spots but if I can get into the top 100 i'll be happy. -

Im torn, I have this 3060 laptop and for the games I play its enough, but in games like grid legends I have to play with medium settings and on that particular game the difference between ultra and medium is pretty big visually. I just need a game to justify a 3k purchase the same thing that happened with crysis. if starfield turns out to be as good as they say it will be, it might push me to get a 3080-4090 desktop, one things for sure unless laptop prices go down ill never buy one again for gaming at least. on a happy note my sn850x should be in the mail soon, probably get it friday. bit overkill having 3tb for like 4 games and the odd benchmark program -

just being bored 😞 Has anyone heard anything about the 5k series of nvidia gpus? probably too early but it would be interesting to know if it's actually going to be a leap like last time, if its just going to be 20 percent I might jump on to a 4090 desktop setup. found this: -
this, I would say if your looking for a bit of thinking and satisfaction portal 2 cannot be beat, I wish I thought of that. Great game

100mm. Can be very serious. Cause for concern. Did you tap out with your 980? I've been benching my 3060 for too long. time for an upgrade but I'm not sure if it's a good time with the markets about to crash -

I had a dum dum moment again, ha all the top 3060 scores are with ddr5 ram at 4788mhz vs my ddr4 3200mhz. for what its worth I have the number one spot for my hardware configuration, although I like benching my daily clocks for gaming are always stock and after a few tweaks and a fresh install im managing 18k in firestrke stock with strong cpu and gpu performance. I think as of right now im saving for a desktop hopefully in 2 years once this laptop won't game at 1080p/4k ill be able to afford a killer desktop. heres stock, thank gawd I figured out my scores, true blonde moment clearly the ram has alot to do with scores and its funny because you guy are constantly talking about overclocking and tuning ram. also id like to add what happened to @tps3443 I think he got a even better sample and ran for the hills with it living in seclusion for his remaining years as a overclocker kinda akin to bobby fischer. poor soul...lol...come back man I'm sure you can show us more benchmarks. -

It really is pitiful how we are forced into choosing a side(amd/nvidia) whereas nvidia has frame generation and dlss, amd FSR. I remember a lawsuit against microsoft for having a monopoly with OS's. and what NVidia is doing is not that different, the contrast is very dim. We need competition between the two sides but not with gimmicks like frame generation that improve framerates but also latency making it essentially pointless and causing the masses to choose nvidia under false assumptions. As for laptops and IMHO im done. I just benchmarked my laptop and compared to the 3060 desktop top scores, even with a bios mod im not even close! Iv'e found out where laptops in 2023 should be placed -
heard unfortunetly this game got delayed yet again, im really looking forward to diving into the game just to see the scope and size of it, hopefully it has a story worth getting involved in. Heard from one of the DEVs in an interview he basically said the game is unreasonably big. fingers crossed 😛

its similar to laptop variants, I had the 115w 3060 and compared to other 3060s it was severely gimped. updated vbios to 140w and the performance jumped up 10 percent, just enough to go from 50s to low 60s. I think its ironic how nvidia can create absolute monsters and then right after they gimp them. You would think it would be a better(newer) idea to push the envelope and not gimp the cards and in turn more people would be upgrading versus staying on their 3060tis/1060s because the performance per dollar would justify the purchase. And if they are going to gimp for other reasons(heat) they should lower their prices, then again alot of it has to do with competition or lack thereof. Consumers should have a voice, we are screaming but they have better (newer) ear plugs in(ignorance/greed) -

chess 3d on my tablet, put my first opponent into checkmate in 7 moves, second game I won in 50 seconds. funny thing is im not very smart or good at chess so I guess everything is relative. had fun and at the end of the day thats all that matters, winning is just the icing

Hi @Prema, we are all constantly posting benchmark results. I hope you stay and keep on pushing those scores. I think Iv'e only seen one member get higher than 25k but it was shunt modded, 25k with stock hardware is impressive. -

its always suprises me when you mention your native language isn't english, yet you type and probably speak it better than me. but yeah it adds up to an okish deal, I wish I had the marbles to just build it myself, but I don't trust myself I always seem to mess up. I have my laptop undervolted, and scores seem ok with nice temps 70c-80c on gpu and cpu locked lol at 85c...I think its better to have good performance and good temps than excellent performance and terrible temps, at least if you do a little gaming. as for benchmarking my cpu downclocks to 3200 on cinebench r23 not sure why as I have it set to 4.2ghz and the temps are alot better now 63c at 3.2ghz and 80s with 4.2ghz vs 98c at 4ghz(before). -

papusan, I like benching older hardware same as you, but for gaming what do you figure? I saw a 3060ti desktop for 1100 and with the ability to upgrade it might be just perfect for my needs, do you think a 3060ti is a nice bump from 3060 laptop? and should i just buy that desktop and then in a months time buy a 3080.?? -
Ill post a video below. It looks phenomenal, runs at 80fps 4k maxed dlss quality. and it also looks like alot of fun, people are talking about it. got an amazing score, meh but then again its ign/.
