i'm looking to bypass the 75C limit on the GPU with the command center , i have done it 7 months ago by using an older version of the AW command center and OC application from april 2019 but i lost those installers in a accidental format 2 months back. and when i looked at the older versions on dell support website i found out that they deleted those old versions from all the laptops! anyone has those older versions ? the oldest i could find on dell support web is this - command center V 5.4.35.0_A00 from april 2022 - Over clocking application 1.3.60.1380_A00 jan 2002 im looking for older from at least 2020

i get your point i really do.. it seams like who come first the chicken or the egg.. if the majority of people started to use Linux , big companies like Autodesk or Adobe will have n o choice but to give them what they need ,, BUT in order for the majority to use Linux , the software they use must be supported which will go back to the beginning of the cycle again... it seams like this process can only work at the dawn of the technology and who took the initiative. this of course keeping the side all the exclusivity deals between those companies and microsoft or macOS ... however as we know macOS is built on the same kernel as Linux which can make the job a lot easier.

i believe what u said shed a it of light on a complicated subject for me curranty... i'm trying to learn more and more about linux. searching in a more oriented linux forums is a good idea and more specifically Arch linux. for the time being i'm dual boot windows and Linux. i'm just starting to learn and i know its a long way to go .. hopfully one day the politics of the current business in the market will shift and we will get official versions from these software for Linux. i know that there is a few equivalent software to adobe and Autodesk products but for the purpose of work flow i cant just switch to them + the learning curve after 20 years is not going to be as good. its just when i heard about wine and bottles for the first time i was very optimistic that i could work my way around windows. lets see what the future may hold. thanks for the links and sharing.

is it possible to install a huge software and its plugins like for example , 3DS max +vray or adobe in-design ? i wanna move completely to linux but adobe and Autodesk products is the base of my work. i'm new to linux and i'm doing a lot of research and came across bottles and wine but i couldnt install adobe acrobat pro... please share whatever you have on the subject..

i found the ICC file for my screen which was calibrated by Notebookcheck as @Kitje said and i downloaded a few mode for the same screen model number but different laptops and found one that seems more accurate then the defult one that i had with windows. @Aaron44126 thats great that some alienware comes with the ICC file with the driver unfortunately the area-51m doesn't

thank you i was able to install it from the AUR store. unfortunately it didnt work for my laptop. but it look like a very organised software.

thanks for posting this , i was asking about something like this in another thread .. i'm new to linux and i'm using arch !! so i know a few basic comands like git clone and makepkg -si but i failed to install this software .. a little help here to install it if possible.

i'm not trying to let u take it lightly but i did this trick more then 30 times on the same laptop. somestimes 5 or 6 times in one day and even i insert it at the wrong time few times ... nothing ever happened. so don't be scared ( the laptop lights goes off during this 2 seconds ) so if u r worried just keep it repeating a few times until u are confident from managing ur 2 seconds correctly then do it. good luck

i wasn't sure where i suppose to post this but since the one i'm actively looking for is the ICC profile for the Area-51m so as mentioned .. how to get ICC profile for a laptop screen since its not easy to find the model number?

i have got that error on my card reader for more then a year and it turned out to be a driver issue. once i updated the driver with the correct one it disappeared.. as for Nvidia drivers , this is my opinion, i don't ever use the latest driver ... i always use the one before the last ... try the 528.

i had the same issue in 2 different laptops alienware 18 and alienware m15 : - the issue in the alienware 18 was the bios is bricked.+ installed an upgraded GPU and didnt change some sittings on the bios ( cant remember what ) what i done is remove all ram and started the laprop , then 2 beebs comming for about 16 times then the laptop restarts ..... after the 16 times repeats and before the laptop turn its self on again there is a 2 second gap in which the laptop is off .... in this 2 seconds window i insert one ram stick ( at any slot ) the the bios reset and the laptop works ... one very important note here ... when u say (the laptop turns on for few seconds and then just turns off by itself) u mean the screen is black or it has a back light shows but now text on the screen ? - the issue with the alienware M15 was the power supply gets hot very quickly and then shuts off ( one good way to test this is try to disasamble the laptop and run it while u can touch the motherboard's power supply ) and see if something gets very hot very fast. however we had to replace the motherboard by a used one.

i tried drivers from 336. something upto 528. something and the only driver that doesn't Couse this is the 336 but this driver doesn't support GPU rendering on V-ray 3ds max which after doing some digging it turs out this is because the lack of CUDA support for this driver so theoretically this means that CUDA driver is the couse od the issue but after trying linux with nvidia 525 driver ( which support CUDA ) i'm not sure anymore and i'm more confused....

i tried the external monitor ( TV) good idea i tried garuda since i'm familiar with it and the shadows disappeared!!! which means its a driver issue ( i guess its one of nvidia options that needs to be disabled or enabled ) anyone have any idea where i start ? yes driver installation was done after DDU cleanup on safe mode this issue shows on windows 10 and 11 both i just tried the external display (TV) using HDMI and its also there on the TV which means its related to the data which is transmitted from the GPU somehow ....

thanks @Jerryzagoi did swap the cards between the first and the second slot . i also tried one card only. the second card in the first slot with the second slot empty . the same issue . i also used the official dell vbios for the SLI setup ( 2 different bios ) same issue . its realy weird ... i noticed my card missing some items here is a picture to compare it to urs if u have a picture .... ( look at the chips at the left side of the picture)

i did this upgrade a year ago and i experienced this issue that time but then i lost my motherboard so i let it go however a few weeks back i replaced my motherboard and restored the machine , fresh installed every thing and again i experienced the same issue ! the issue is this... once i install NVidia driver the desktop wallpaper in-print in any app that i open. i attached an image to demonstrate this. has anyone came across this issue with this upgrade or with any other driver or GPU ? here is what i did to diagnose : - install older driver , new driver and microsoft recommended driver. the issue remains. - disable the SLI the issue remains. - replace the screen with another one from my friend Alienware 18. the issue remains. - reflash the bios with the stock one. i'm running UEFI on the unlocked bios A12

well , degooglizing your life is not easy however its the best decision i ever made. i replaced this with this : - GMAIL with proton mail ... more secured. - MAPS with Sygic .. amazing free software without adds and u can pay for traffic update. - PLAY STORE with AURORA Store and dont look back - GOOGLE CALENDER with PROTON CALENDER. - CHROME with Brave or firefox - GOOGLE SEARCH with duckduckgo and i cant be more happier - YOUTUBE with Newpipe and YES you can save playlists locally on Ur device without google account. now lets bring the big guns !!! universal-android-debloater so far its the most efficient app to debloat android for me. link below https://github.com/0x192/universal-android-debloater i use Samsung device. u wouldn't believe the amount of hidden apps working in the background. i removed around 137 apps NOW lets talk about the benefits from doing that : - my Samsung note 20 ultra which used to survive the a day of battery @ 1% .. now work for 2 days straight !!!!!! - the phone is really fast and i'm using battery saver all the time !!! - no tracking from google for whom cares about that like me !
