Since I was curious about if the proposed ship date (Aug 9th) will be met, I called Dell Order department to ask them about the status. That was a very interesting call. The guy said, it seems like for my workstation, they are waiting for the SSD to start building. They have about 50 in stock but since the SSDs are used in many Dell models and they handle it by "first in first out" - I am not on top of the queue to get one of these 50. They will get another 200 by Thursday and I should be able to get one of these. They said build is scheduled to be on Aug 7th (not sure if this is proposed start or complete date), which is a sunday.... and shipping on Aug 9th is still realistic, he said. But of course it cannot be guaranteed. He also mentioned that after the build is finished in China, I won't be able to see any updates in tracking, once the parcel hits Europe and went through customs. So I am still carefully optimistic that Aug 22 as delivery date is still achievable.

@Aaron44126 did you already get a chance to do some testing? Would be very interesting to see some fresh pictures/benchmarks. 🙂 My order is still "stuck" with status "confirmed". Anyone whose order is already on its way?

I also calculated this just like you did and I am concerned they might throw in another delay...... But lets stay optimistic as long as possible. 🙂 My planned ship date did not change yet: Aug 9th

Sounds like a challenge. I used to work on 21:9 screens (I guess I don't need scaling here) and unplug regularly to take my notebook into another room to work only with the notebook screen (where I'd need the scaling again).

I had the same question, but I worked so many years on FHD on Laptop screens that I wanted an upgrade. Also I wanted to stick to Touchscreen. With 7560 Touch was only available on FHD and with 7670 Touch is only available with 4k. The best solution for me would be something between FHD and 4k - but this isn't an option here so I went for the 4k OLED. Why do you spend the money for expensive Dell SSDs and not buy them separately?

As we already discussed - really seems like 7770 was 'more ready' than 7670. Mine is still not in production state. Order confirmed on 07/07 at 8AM ESD Aug 9th (again a Dell tuesday). 😉

@Dell-Mano_G Do you have some PWM info at all for any of the screens in 7670/7770? Thanks

I think so, as also the delivery date is a lot eralier for your 7770 than mine 7670 shipping to Europe. But could be related to the faster build process on 7770 devices. 🙂

I have also six. There is "build completed" between "in production" and "shipped".

Prices in Europe still the same . How can it happen that sb. finds a better deal when prices are so unrealistic expensive compared to the real prices from the reps? I guess you have to get new quotes from the reps afterwards to really find out, if there is a better deal. But that usually does not happen, right?

Maybe a stupid question..... I clicked around on your link and configured a 7670 system there. I ended up with ¥58500. According to google this is about 430 USD. Is that true? Seems like in the configurator, SSD door is selected as soon as you get the bigger performance chassis. If you have the thin chassis, no SSD door is selected. I did not see an option there to choose if you want an SSD door or not.

If sb. isn't in a hurry, cost is an issue and 128GB is not needed, I'd wait. Heard that SODIMM might be available end of Aug, beginning of Sept. But since we already had so many delays, who knows if this schedule is on time. 🙂

Except for the increased time span...does not sound like an upgrade to me. But I think thats up to your expections on the reaction time of the support.

In my opinion this is negligible. Also in the past I could see no huge real world benefit in RAM that has a slightly higher clock rate. But always depends on what your expections are and what you are doing with your system. Well basic support will get you to the finish line at the end. The question is how long it will take. As of my knowledge the basic support is no support "next business day" and you can only contact during the normal office hours. So depending on how fast you wanna get a technician to your location to fix your device, you may choose. Also basic support has different "hotlines" so you may call with a support agent in a different country. I have no experience with basic support, as I only had ProSupport in the past. Also a Dell Sales Rep normally can give good discount on ProSupport so at least for my Quote I didn't bother.

Strange that even your ship date is earlier... Thought they would be built in the same little chinese backyard garage. 🙂
