The bios is set to automatic detection. It will always find 16 lanes on the P775xx and on all P870xx always 8 lanes per MXM port....

I use the P870tm like you! Of course the fans must run, otherwise the heat will be too much! There is no other way in an air cooling system...

The temperatures seem very high to me under full load. At idle, the temperatures are like mine! I have under full load 50 - 52 degrees over hours with the RTX 3070...
