  1. I can understand your motives. It is as I said. The capacitors are only the component of the multiphase buck of the card. The capacitors are not used because Nvidia's specification does not require it. There are such specifications as the loadline with appropriate resistance. Each GPU(e.g. RTX3060- RTX3080) has a special lowest target specification from Nvidia. The capacitors affect the output voltage range DC and AC! You could say the GPU is then flooded more evenly by the current. The output current is more uniform and the behavior at sudden load is adjusted according to the specifications of Nvidia!!! That is actually already everything...
  2. Correct, the change shown in the pictures are changes of the electrical phases within the total load of the board. But this does not change the total power consumption!
  3. What did it bring? The performance of the card is regulated elsewhere!
  4. Hi, you are wrong... There is no MUX circuit... The display is supplied exclusively by the MXM port! Greetings
  5. You're almost right. I thought so too, but unfortunately you have to do more to get the x16 lanes config recognized!!!
  6. i think the 9900K can still handle the RTX4090 quite well.... I last saw a test on Youtube. There was in comparison 9/10/11/12/13 gen. Intel in UHD games and the 9900K is only slightly slower....
  7. Yes, but what many always forget, it also costs everything a lot of time in the matrix to develop these things! Consequently, the things also costs money...
  8. Yes, it is! That is the end of the development with independent cooling! I have constructed my own power supply for this!
  9. Exactly, why does x16 work on the P870xx!!! That is the big question...It works because it is not the same adapter as for the P775xx. It is my own development for the P870xx series. This includes an internal solution to integrate a desktop card in the P870xx and the corresponding power supply with 12 V also internally via the P870xx!!!!:-)..My solution is tailored specifically for the P870xx.
  10. For now, I can only tell you that it is an adapter that allows you to plug desktop cards into the MXM port. I'm still testing...
  11. No, I do not use a GPU case! Why would the sensors be a problem:-) You just connect the card to the MXM port with my adapters:-) Have a look at Subvendor! What kind of card it is
  12. Hi, i actually did not look closely because of the distinction between KM and TM!!! It goes with both Books the x16 PCIe lanes!:-) For my test was only one KM available. A TM goes but just as said. Before I answer your other question. Look at the second graphics card, what kind is it!?
  13. My latest tests for the P870TM: See picture 1 and 2
  14. Hi:-), the Vbios has a cryptography key, so it is impossible to increase the power consumption via the software. This is only possible through hardware tricks! Greetz MiraGe
  15. This damage or missing parts are not a big problem! The heatsink is the best there is with the right modifications for the P870xx series with air cooling. Check out my results in the P870TM thread, you can see how well this cools!!!....These heatsinks are practically no longer available. Also not at AliExpress. Have fun with it:-)
  16. I have a new bios and not properly tuned yet! Or not yet had the time and desire to do so ...But I think that's not so bad now:-)
  17. This is my last benchmark at room temperature(only air cooling): P870TM / RTX 3080 / 9900KS / UHD 120Hz
  18. Hello, regarding G-Sync. It is definitely not a hardware problem! It needs a bios update! Does your modded Bios everything works as before!?
  19. I used 2x RTX2080 in the P870TM. It worked well. I tried all this almost 2 years ago. This is so-called SEMI-SLI. In games it also works, but you don't have extreme advantages. I can send a benchmark from 3D MArk later.
  20. I wanted to say, let's see how the board works in normal operation:-)...I have not tested it yet, as I said!
  21. Ok!!....Let's see what possibilities the board offers!
  22. I have also just another version to test there. But I have not yet come to....This is currently a development version!
  23. I have today my own modified bios(P870TM) extended with RTX support! Many thanks to ViktorV and Dsanke! I tried it with RTX 3070 and RTX 3080, it works fine.....
  24. You can optimize something in the Bios! In the P870TM I keep quite often 5.2 Ghz1 The loss reading of 143 W tremendous! The heatsink is certainly not designed for this. Perhaps you can still accommodate a few heatpipes and increase the contact pressure a bit...
  25. Also very good! But with a P775TM! Still nice...I put no value on optimal exploitation, but only Reliable good running:-)
