  1. No idea how you guys are installing this Enemies on this clunky Unity Hub. The screens shots look great, but what a waste of time trying to figure this out.
  2. Installed the 3090ti and it's a beast. It's also crazy power hungry, lol. I did undervolt it to keep the clocks at 2000MHz but using 100W less. I think it's going to be a fun card to play with. I also got my green sticks and they are installed, just got to find some time to play with them.
  3. Just purchased a Ruckus ICX7650-48ZP-E2. Basically a super overkill enterprise switch that will do everything from 1gbe to 100gbe and everything in between. Not something I need right now, but will be fun as the wife and I toy with the idea of building a new place. It's loud though so I guess I'm going to mod it with some 140mm fans up top. Thankfully I got it for less than 1/15th of the 16k MRSP!
  4. @Mr. Fox Sadly no green sticks yet, just got a note they cleared customs two days ago though...
  5. Yeah super sad they are out of the game. I think that's one thing that makes the 4k series so unappealing to me.
  6. Yeah same guy, I got it from [H] for less than asking price, nice guy to deal with. Now I'm going to order a 16pin cable from moddiy I think. The real question is if I should get a 90* cable for the eventual Dan-C4V2 + 4090 or if the silicon wires will be flexible enough to work... *on edit* I should grab the cablemod 90* adapter for @Papusan
  7. Well I just bought an EVGA RTX 3090 Ti FTW3. Looks like the 3080ti will be a short lived card.
  8. Humm Evga 3090ti FTW3 for $900? If it were 50-100 less I'd pick it up quick, but I'm struggling to justify it.
  9. Yeah I had a bunch of yellow in the device manager so I thought I'd try that. Silly me for not finding the newest one and just using one I had on the server. I appreciate you, sorry to make you go through all that.
  10. 10.1.19284.8351 I don't quite have the guts (or time) to install the latest 10.1.19444.8378 to see if that works, lol. *on edit* well I did install the latest and it works. Sad I wasted so much time with that.
  11. So after messing around for reinstalling windows multiple times, it appears that the intel chipset drivers cause my second NVMe drive to disappear. Totally unsure why that happens, but now I know.
  12. @Mr. Fox, is it worth paying for this ISO? Can't say I've ever paid for someone to trim down an OS before.
  13. Lmao so here's how bad my lack of attention to detail has been with this build. The MB that I bought was mislabeled and is a Z690-i not a Z790-i, fml. I dunno if it's worth returning because it was cheap and my old Z690 setup ran just fine. I also have a super weird issue where my second NVMe SSD doesn't show up in windows but does in bios. And to top it all off, I couldn't get the 3080 Ti to show up at boot, after struggling I found a VGA bios update that fixed that though. My initial thought is if I'll be graduating in december, I may just ride this out and then buy a 4090/14th gen cpu/Dan C4 then. @electrosoft, the NR200 is really nice and I actually don't know how I could fit stuff in a smaller case unless it had a much better layout like the Dan C4. Coming from my NZXT H700i, this is super portable and really easy to use. @Mr. Fox, I can fit a couple fans on that top panel blowing down, but was planning on using them as exhaust. The fresh air flow from the radiator fans is actually quite good on those memory modules.
  14. Slowly but surely, just waiting on ram. Also that Freezer II is probably the wrong choice for a SFF build, it's pretty darn thick and really smashed in there...
  15. Guess I'm glad I waited, I can just pick up a 4080 super and basically get a 4090. I also found out I may be graduating from residency early, December may be a very good month for me. Maybe I'll have my ram by then, lol. I've also ran into a couple of snags with the NR200. The Silverstone SFX-L powersupply is too L, hah. The cables are hitting the 3080 and pushing down on it a little bit. I also cannot fit a 25mm thick fan above it. Time to drill a couple holes to move it up a little more and throw a 15mm thick fan above it. On the topic of OLED screens. The AW3423DWF that I picked up is amazing when it comes to color/black even compared t to the very nice AW3821DW, but the annoying messages about running pixel refresh and my own concerns about leaving things up on the screen too long may make me switch back. Games look amazing though.
  16. @Mr. Fox, I ordered that ram. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get here. Mind sharing your timings? I'm not aiming for 8200 but it would be cool to be in the upper 7000s with reasonable timings. thanks again for the link.
  17. Do you know if they have any good A-die 24GB sticks? I wouldn't mind having 48GB in the system. Also the 280mm rad fans blow directly on the memory.
  18. How are you keeping them cool? I realize that the heatspreaders on most retail kits probably do the opposite of help, lol.
  19. Dang that would have been a great purchase to save some $$$. Maybe I'll still pick it up, lol
  20. @electrosoft, I am liking this NR200 case. It's well built and easy to work with. It also looks pretty good. If only UPS didn't lose my RAM, I'd probably be firing it up, lol.
  21. So far system build wise I'm at Case: CM NR200 MB: ROG Strix Z790-i CPU: 13700k GPU: Evga 3080 Ti FTW3 Ram: Gskill G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 48GB (2 x 24GB) 7200 SSD: 2TB Hynix Platinum P41 + Intel optane SSD for boot Power supply: Silverstone SX1000 Platinum AIO: Arctic Freezer II 280mm Fans: Arctic P12 I'm kind of excited (well I'm always excited to build a new system), this will be my first SFF build
  22. Well bummer, I snoozed and lost that 4090. My wallet (and wife) are thankful though... Ordering the rest of the setup though which is exciting.
  23. Lol it is $1400 out the door (well shipped to my door). It's a great deal but may be a hard pill for my better half to swallow. I guess one bummer is I'll have to sell the 3080ti...
  24. Hah part of the problem is with two little kids and being a resident working 7 days a week (well I do average 1 day off a month), I never even game, lol.
