Same here but we also used to think that about the X170KM-G and now it can use the iGPU. Maybe it is the same situation with the P751/775TM1?

What is certain is that somebody would have to enable that functionality.

Is there any info for the X170KM how to enable the IGPU?

This is a conditional estimate of the performance of the video card in a particular system, which also depends on the processor.
Here is the evaluation of firestrike in combination with E3-1505M v5 which is 9087

    https://www.notebookcheck.info/NVIDIA-Quadro-M5000M.156221.0.html

There is a Graphics score at there  9227 , as i mentioned your graphics score should be around 9k.

And why my score with the 3610QM is higher than with the E3-1505M ,my graphics is 8148 vs 7723 ,and the my overall is 6989 vs 6937 .

The difference between the two processors is 2 generations and yours is almost 2x more powerful than mine 😉

    https://technical.city/en/cpu/Core-i7-3610QM-vs-Core-i7-940XM

But in firestrike theres a graphics score that is not affected by the cpu score :

Graphics Score  8148.0 for the M4000M

Graphics Score  8075.0 for the M5000M

So something is not right with the M5000M,it should be around 9000 .

Maybe thats the difference in Win7 and Win10 . If you have a spare SSD you should try with Win10.

I think your comparison doesn't really fit this thread because you have a different laptop with a newer processor😉

The 2 CPU is almost same performance , the 940 is stronger by a litle, i think Your driver has some problem ,cuz its should be stronger than it is now .

I didn't dare to install the gtx980m in my m15x, and replaced the gtx970m with the m5000m as an upgrade.
It feels faster, although due to reduced frequencies the result in firestrike is lower than the last card's result

If im correct FS is DX11 , try with Timespy.

At here the M4000M was faster than the 970M cuz of the 256bit bus  vs the 970m 192bit. The M5000M should be faster.  3D mark website is down,  I will link my results later.

It works. Like imagine working on a project in the park, putting on some classical music and maybe catching up on news. Going home then one plug and you have a full on desktop experience. Your not going to get desktop performance but in 2024 things can be accomplished faster via cloud services like GeForce now. Or shadow pc cloud ai ect. Desktops shouldn't exist, not because they are not superior but because software doesn't call for them. Video editing can be done faster on a cloud service vs 10k pc. I'm also moving to vr headset, tablet, cell setup and skipping the idea of getting a gaming laptop or gaming desktop.

Yep , i wanted to moove on mobile+GFN gaming but the supported games have a limit, and the games that I play are not playable on GFN , so i got a PC , and im gonna get a HP TB3 dock to play if im on the moove ,or somewhere else. Not every dock/hub is able to pass alt DP display via USB-C , with HDMI and DP it works perfect.

Wonderful @Csupati, this kind of flexibility is what i am after with my tablet. On the move is to be super simple, take it out of bag and start working, at home connect to a monitor, kb, pen tablet and with a big good chair work comfortable.

Idont know what tablet are You using , but Samsung has the DeX feature where theres a fully supported external display can used with its own resolution , wired keyboard mouse and ethernet. I dont know if other brands are have this feature , GFN will work but maybe You are not able to connect KB or mouse to it.

  8. Hi!

I dont know if anyone did it but here i am to write about gaming on an Andriod phone using DeX and GFN .

So basicly DeX gives you desktop experience ,that means You are able to use:

    - wired or wireless keyboard, mosue ,and even Ethernet

-video output via USB-C , HDMI , DP (maybe VGA and DVI is working but i did not tested it!)

    -at a nativ resolution was tested in 1920X1080 , 2560X1440 . Specs says 16:10 and 21:9 is supported at 1920X1200 to 2560X1600 and 2560X1080 to 3440X1440 .

Geforce Now(GFN) mobile application let you play PC games on phones that are supported under GFN .

The playeble resolution depends on the subscription at GFN , Priority allows FHD 60 FPS gaming, Ultimate allows 4K 240FPS gaming.

The last piece that you need is an USB-C hub , i tested 2 hubs . The Hama 200102 (7in1) and the HP Thunderbolt dock G2 .

With the Hama theres no USB-C alt DP output only HDMI (its the hubs fault) , and wired keyboard ,mouse and ethernet is working.

With the HP TB3 dock , it works all of the display options : USB-C alt DP , HDMI, DP, same wired KB/mouse/ethernet are working.

I used an Galaxy S10 8/128 to test GFN , FHD QHD resolution is no problem, sound can be send trough HDMI or DP cable.  The pictures show the HP dock with a Dell C1422H display via USB-C display , the phone can be charged on the regular USB-C port.

  9. Hi!

Im in a bit  of problem here. Ive bought an ITX pc:

    Gigabyte B550i aorus pro ax 1.2 , 5600X CPU, Gskill Ageis 3200 mhz 2X8 kit,  3060 12gb,  500gb Gigabyte SSD.

My problem is that  the pc wont post after a shut down or restart,  but if i unplug from the wall and wait  2-3 min its starts,  but if i restart or shut down and start it wont post again,  the monitor turns on but instantly say no signal and turn off.

My rams are not in the QVL , xmp turned on,  and ultra fast booot is on, other than that its factory settings.

Any advice what could be the problem? Its not windows related, cuz doing the same with win11 or win10 .

@Csupati what chassis do you have the 1080 in? I am surprised you had to go all the way down to 120w to manage temps - good that the performance is still so relevant though! - With my P750DM2 I was able to keep temps in check with a 180w bios, but that may have been a fluke . . . since now I that I think about it I have trouble with only 150w in the 2080 that is currently int he P750DM2. Congrats though! Welcome back to Clevo land!

Ty! P751TM-G  I used Mobile Pascal TDP Tweaker to do it , just replace the 180000 with 120000 in 2 places and its done, we flashed with an external eeprom burner.

We done it because its a repaired card and wanted to give the maximum life that it has, im planning to go with a 2080Super same power level,if everything goes as planned.

  11. Hi Guys!

I cant hold my self any longer and got a Clevo again .

    Its has a 8700k and a GTX 1080 with G-sync 144Hz display.

    The fun part begins

The 1080 was repaired , 3 cards merged togerther cuz one has a cracked gpu chip, the 2.nd was doing space invaders , and a 3rd one has the pcb chipped in one corner but it worked.

Long story short, we decided to limit the 1080 , with Nvidia Inspector the -200mhz was not enough its still run on 200W , got flashed a 180W factory bios with G-sync , still aroung the 80-85 C-s , so i was digging some forums and found the Mobile Pascal TDP Tweaker, we gave it a shot ,and voila 120W limit(go instantly with the 120w limit for a test at the beginning ,but we put the pc together like we aint gonna disassembly it again) , G-sync and everything else works fine and it realy limited to 120-130ish watts.

We done a Superposition for fun ,and we were suprised by the result , then we runned a test on an Alienware M17 R2 with 2080max-q , and a desktop pc with 3060 12gb in it. The 2080max-q got 139xx ish points, the desktop 3060 12GB got 142xx ish points. We where shocked how well it still performs, neither to say its maintained the boost clocks all the time .

Which panels will work in P775TM1-G  with 6-43-P7751-010-1N cable?

Thats a regular edp 40 pin, you can fit any sreen you want, unfortunatly theres no oled at 17.3" , but theres mini led.

Fhd qhd 4k screens gonna fit át any refresh rate, only issue can be the brightness, it may only have full brightness.

The bit bus matters a lot because no matter if a RTX 3060 has higher cuda cores and clock speeds the lower bit bus is going to slow it down.

Ok, but as I mentioned, The RTX 4050 has 96bit bus, 2560 cuda cores, and its capable to do same performance as the 2080. So theres no logic ....

Posts merged, please do not double post. Thx!

Unless I am misreading, your 3060 is pulling 750w? Impressive! lol After looking at more data it does look like the 4050 is punching up to the 2080 in some cases beating it in 1080p or lower, and losing out at larger resolutions though thats hardly surprising considering the power envelop and memory bus. In those circumstances it seems the performance hit can be anywhere from 5% to 50%, while in titles where it has superior performance can be up to 15% Just depends on what you intend to play at the time.

    Sorry for doubling!
Yes it has that range . But the original concept was that why the 3060 weaker than the 2080 if it has more shading units and higher core freq.
