MiRaGe
Hi guys, would you tell me how can I unlock 200W from my RTX 2080? Do I need specific vBios or something else? The laptop is P775TM1-G
Developer79
Hi:-), the Vbios has a cryptography key, so it is impossible to increase the power consumption via the software. This is only possible through hardware tricks! Greetz MiraGe

ssj92
Flashing Alienware RTX 2080 vBIOS from Area-51m R1 will boost TDP to 200w. MiRaGe
You mean I won‘t get any FPS gain in games?
ssj92
If 1-5 fps gain is worth it to you then sure. But going from 180w to 200w on rtx 2080 is barely any faster. MiRaGe
Can I find somewhere 180W vbios then? I would prefer it if it is the same speedwise as it won‘t heat up the GPU too much…

ssj92
You won't know until you try. As always backup original vBIOS in the event the other vBIOS doesn't work. srs2236
Also flashing the Alienware VBIOS will break both of your display ports on your P775TM1-G. Doesn't matter if 180W or 200W. Be aware of that. + It might even break G-Sync support but I am not sure about that one. About Display Ports I am 100% sure. The reason why it works is it was officially released by Alienware for their Area 51m laptop. You can flash this VBIOS also on Clevo and other machines but most of the time you lose Display Port funcionality.
