Hi guys,

would you tell me how can I unlock 200W from my RTX 2080?

Do I need specific vBios or something else?

The laptop is P775TM1-G

Flashing Alienware RTX 2080 vBIOS from Area-51m R1 will boost TDP to 200w. However, unless you are benchmarking, it will probably not be worth it

If 1-5 fps gain is worth it to you then sure. But going from 180w to 200w on rtx 2080 is barely any faster.

Can I find somewhere 180W vbios then?

I would prefer it if it is the same speedwise as it won‘t heat up the GPU too much…

You won't know until you try. As always backup original vBIOS in the event the other vBIOS doesn't work.

Also flashing the Alienware VBIOS will break both of your display ports on your P775TM1-G. Doesn't matter if 180W or 200W. Be aware of that. + It might even break G-Sync support but I am not sure about that one. About Display Ports I am 100% sure.

Do you have Clevo 180W or 200W vBios for RTX 2080 by chance? 😊

 Wow, thanks!

200W vbios, not bad at all!

Now I am even more considering water cooling…😆

Max GPU temp 76-77C, is this ok?

Overall not bad at all for RTX 2080. iI completely abandoned the idea of upgrading to RTX 3080…

It is not an unlocked VBIOS and in terms of what you are thinking it hasn't been modded in any way.

The reason why it works is it was officially released by Alienware for their Area 51m laptop. You can flash this VBIOS also on Clevo and other machines but most of the time you lose Display Port funcionality.
