Color match paint for notebook?

To the painters here, how do you color match paint for your laptops?  I received a new bottom tray for my dell which I cracked taking it off. It's a completely different color, like they forgot to paint it.  Do you just bring it to an auto shop and have them mix a can for you?

Painting cars, bikes and other motorsports items is my forte, powder and ceramic coating as well.  I am just wondering if they do the same for pc.  Bring it to the auto parts place, scan the color and mix a rattle can.

Well, eff that.  The bottom case does not fit.  Oh well, hopefully I can get a refund or I will be leaving negative feedback and getting my money back via ebay because it's the wrong part completely.  Its for another device by dell, and not mine!

Had a similar thing, ordered a top panel display enclosure for my Precision M6700 (17" system) because I needed new hinges; I ordered the part from eBay and the seller sent me a 15" enclosure!  Obviously didn't even come close to fitting.  And they didn't respond at all when I went to request a refund.  Fortunately its a pretty clear case, I sent some photos to eBay support and they refunded me directly.  (If I recall, I had to wait a few days before being able to engage eBay support because they really want you to work it out with the seller directly.)

Oh man. I had 250,000 dollars worth of gear.  I loved it.  But in the good small town way the people here hated to see a local be successful and shipped stuff elsewhere for more money I was the cheapest on the island.

Thanks for the kind words. I don't color match though, just usually go for something completely different from stock. I believe any decent crash repairer would be able to color match easily enough if you have an original sample. The original Alienware systems (pre-Dell) were actually painted by a local auto shop.
