Thank you! Correctly, I understand that p750dm-g has the same motherboards with p771dm-g, that is, the same bios.
I'm already pretty sure that 6700k is dead :(, tomorrow it will be sent for verification if it's dead, while I stay on 6600 I'll save up some money and try to buy 9700f (the video integrated into the processor is not used in clevo anyway)

best of luck! keep us updated on your progress 🙂

Good afternoon, I installed p3000, everything turned on without problems. But I can't install drivers for the card
and it shows up as unknown in bios

I have already explained to you why that happened. (no gpu id entry in NVdGPUDxe module in bios)

Я уже объяснил вам, почему это произошло. (нет записи идентификатора GPU в модуле NVdGPUDxe в BIOS)

Good afternoon, due to incorrect translation, I did not understand where you need to register p3000 in BIOS or Windows. Thanks !

If I am to understand @runix18, there is a list of GPU's in the system BIOS. When one of them is plugged in, it will use that information to show you in the BIOS. If using a card that is not on that list, it will show "unknown" even if it does actually work. Think of it like a whitelist.

Though of course I can be wrong, I am not as well educated as some of the others on the forum.

You are right. It is one module in bios called NVdGPUDxe wich is responable of bios entryes and gpu recognition.

So, to summarize, don't use "unknown" in Bios as a measure for if a GPU is functional or not if it's not a part of the list of GPU's that was coded within the bios to recognize from factory.

Going to need to install the drivers and test for performance, it's basically the same process as my p157sm-a recently.

It is not using unknown as default. If it does not sees the known bits that coresponds to the GPU it will show unknown in bios.

One can add the bios Hw ID to the string and to the bios table and the gpu will install driver automatly, so at least in theory😁

What I have posted here is a part of the dsanke TM ported bios.... the stock 2015  P771DM-G bios module looks a little diferent in the sense that you will not see pascall and RTX gpus in there.

I tried to find a person who will remove the bios for programmers and prescribe a line of p3000-p5000 quad video cards in NVdGPUDxe in the BIOS)
But didn't find it.

You will not find it because it does not exist, it must be added manualy.

correct, that was my understanding as well.

This would just mean that without the bits included for the GPU in question (in this instance, a p3000) then that means an INF mod will be required?

Not quite, the listing above is only for bios to not show unknown gpu (in bios) and display the proper name of the GPU. To make the gpu work by default (no inf mod) you need to have the card first, see the hw id assigned by bios for the gpu and then replace that string of data in the module.

Everything would be easy if you didn’t have to read the bios with a programmer, then edit it and put it back, but this is not done under Windows :(

Everything feels easier in Windows, until it doesnt work and you are using the programmer to get it up and running anyways.

Its understandable though

When you are going to have a laptop like this one, and employ modded bios that are not made for your model it is bound to have bugs and problems. Thats why a programmer is mandatory. Keep in mind that we are not working with official software (and even those sometimes bug out).

Greetings to all ,
Today there was an accident with my 771 :( .
His wife followed him and the laptop sat down, tried to insert the charger, pressed in 1 of the 4 contacts and closed (as I understand it, + and -.
The power supply died.
I was able to check the processor and SSD memory, everything works, has anyone encountered such a problem? what burned inside? :(

  • Reciever changed the title to Clevo P771DM-G

I cant say for PCs, but on cars the positive cable from the battery has as fusible link, which I have had the experience of it melting way back in the day, it saved the car circuitry, I would think there is something similar built in to the PC
