JamieTheAnything
I will be receiving a P870 with the 6700k and dual GTX 1080's and I've been wondering if anyone has been nutty enough to use dual 3080's in order to use it as a Blender rendering machine. I might go ahead and also grab a 8700k or 9700k depending on what y'all experiences with throttling in the dual GPU version of the p870. While I might sound insane I just want a portable workstation that I can do 3d/productivity work on and be on par with my current desktop setup, (5800x3d and 3090)

Did you require any heat sink modifications or just moving thermal pads?

If you want to install the RTX3080 in SLI in the P870(DM23/KM/TM), then the heatsink has to be modified and you need my own developed adapters. I have written about this in detail in the forum P870TM thread and shown what is possible with the P870xx and what the gaming performance is like. In my opinion, one of the last best laptops ever from Clevo!!! In the thread, I also wrote that desktop graphics cards can be installed. I might be testing the latest RTX50xx soon!!!
